For ergonomic handle design, my favorites are the Tim Wegner and the Peter Herbst. I can't describe the technical merits of the designs but I can say that they sure feel good in your hands.

Tim Wegner (I like it better than the Military), JD Smith (I only gave it up as an EDC to make room for a Sebenza), Zowada (I like it better than the Native), and Shabaria (I just plain flat-out like this one) are all under-rated, imo. I can't figure out why Spyderco didn't sell a kazillion of them....

A CE Tim Wegner. (Not the new one). It would be perfect if it was PE'd and tip-down with a black clip.

If you can still find them: Tim Wegner (collaboration) combo edge.

danzo, I think you've got one of the newer (improved) models--since you mentioned that it's a plain edge (I think the older versions were all combo edges).
