I don't know how to spell gray (grey?), so I'll vote for blue (any shade).

Ditto, what vampyrewolf said, plus a larger opening hole on the Military. Some feel that it allows the Military to be opened easier when wearing gloves (which is a consideration in cold environments) while some others also feel that it (the larger hole) makes the Military measureably faster to open ...

Thanks for the pics, samo. Some of us back in the USA, unfortunately, have most of our food straight out of plastic wrappers. (Thankfully, however, we still need a knife to open the plastic wraps--well, that's how I justify most of my knife purchases). It's interesting that the snakeheads in Malaysi...

Nice knife. An optional multi-carry position Mike Sastre kydex sheath should complete the package.

Whoa, Joyce, you travel ready for anything! Nice load. Today I'm carrying a large plain Sebenza Classic (on a horizontal belt sheath), Victorinox Night Messenger (on key chain), Opinel (in lunchbox), Leatherman SideClip (in rear pocket), and a Strider AR (in brief case). Oops, you caught me on a day...

What has Joyce Laituri been carrying lately?

I always enjoy reading Joyce's responses. We last heard her recon of Sal's pocket contents. Now, how about a peek into Joyce's pockets/purse? Surely, she must have some exclusive SpyderGoodies. How about it Joyce?

knifepunk, I think you're going to like the Standard. Will yours be plain-edged or serrated?

Although it's smaller than the Endura, it's still big enough to do alot of chores. I really like the ergonomics of the G-10 handle with the thumb ramp of the blade.

ATE, I hear ya about the "misprints" in the catalog. I don't know if it is rumor or not but I heard on another forum that the plain-edged VG-10 Harpy was another "misprint" (i.e., there won't be such an animal).

ftkinney, it's interesting that the blade of the Shabaria seem like that of a whooping crane or some other waterfowl to you. In my case, I imagine a dolphin with the Spyderco hole as its eye. To further testify as to my insanity, I think about a woodpecker when I see the Massad Ayoob's profile in th...

Sorry, ATE. I didn't mean to diss your new knife in my earlier post. The newer Herbst incorporates improvements that Spyderco felt were needed over the original Herbst. You have chosen wisely. I'm sure you'll be pleased. The problem, rather, is with me--I'm just fanatically in love with the smoothne...

It's good to now hear people saying nice things about the original Peter Herbst. It wasn't too long ago that some others were dissing that one smooth opener with contoured ti handles. Sure it had some cosmetic flaws but who, or what, is ever perfect? I've tried the newer versions and, imo, they just...

I have one but don't carry it. It's a plain-edged version which I don't see too much in circulation. I have too many other Spyderco knives more suitable for EDC/utility duties (i.e., easier to replace if it breaks).

I'd like mine PE hollow ground if possible. But Spyderco's recent trend seem to be toward PE flat ground as on the G-10 Police. Bottom line: I'll take whatever comes out.

Why is this man's knife being held in a ziplock bag? Evidence? Is there a possibility that he could be charged for an offense? Was the knife an illegal carry? Of course, it was self-defense in this case but in certain locations those cougars may be protected by law. Is there a follow-up to this stor...
