Re: Benchmade Bali-Song real/fake?
That is 100% fake. Stamping is incorrect, should be lasered, finish is off, blade is pinned instead of torx screws.

Re: Titanium-Steel Bladed Spyderco?
What would be the point?
Tungsten carbide can be applied to the edge of titanium blades and works quite well to provide a long lasting edge with a lot of bite. I don't see a reason to go with it versus steel except in a couple of scenarios.

In the vein of Paul's suggestion, you may also want to check into having your blades custom laser-etched with your initials or a personal logo. I prefer to use Kaiser Laser Images out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, on my own custom-made knives. For a nominal fee, they will laser etch my maker's mark and s...

Re: New EDC Mille - blade swap?
Pivot size is potentially different, given the uodated one's stepped pivot. If you wait until the CQI changes carry over to the flutes, it would probably stand a better chance at working.

Re: Pink for Breast Cancer
First off...not into this idea. Second, Mastiff, you're right, Ti doesn't make for a good blade, but any maker worth their salt is carbidizing the edge, which DOES work well. Still might as well have steel for general purposes, but a Ti blade done like that actually does work well and holds an edge ...

Re: Pink for Breast Cancer
I like the idea of supporting a good cause in such ways and so does Spyderco if you look at the Sage and D'Allara for instance. But Spyderco won't make a knife just for looks... I don't see a titanium blade being produced because of this reason. I'm sure it'll look nice, but titanium isn't a good b...

Hi Studey, This kook can't be dealing from the full deck? Firstly....he's a troll, first and foremost. Second, assuming he's being honest..he already declared his disdain for 'plastic pistols.' This likely puts him solidly in the 1911 camp, and if people aren't honest with themselves, they'll make ...

...since it's illegal to carry a pistol in your country? Might want to read more carefully. Regarding your other comments, since the reliability issues with 3" 1911s are well documented, I'll stand by what I said earlier: When you can offer something other than somebody else's YouTube video, I...

Do you never get tired of talking out of your arse? https://youtu.be/YrLXbVK0uT8 So do you own a 3" 1911? Have you ever shot one? How about put it through a rigorous 500-1000 round shooting class? Carried one? Why even be concerned about such matters, since it's illegal to carry a pistol in yo...

I'm surprised that Sal hasn't dabbled in making his own handgun. Maybe a 1911 with a 3'' barrel or perhaps something else entirely? Anyways... I have updated my first post with some new inclusions. The 3" 1911 in .45....ah yes, the epitome of reliable carry guns. It's a concealed ca...

I't would have been easier to do it like I mentioned in my first post. ;) No, it'd probably have been easier to do like he mentions in his post. Why don't you go ahead and cut a hardened steel blade diagonally? Trying to get a saw blade to bite, versus grinding it down on a belt sander, easy to kno...

Perhaps... but I would avoid 20CV in any fixed blade knife due to it's somewhat poor toughness.
So what fixed blades do you own in 20CV?

I can also tell you that washers don't necessarily prevent the circular scratches. I've had multiple Delicas and a Stretch that had circular scratches, and both of those models come with bronze washers. I think he means ON the tang (above the choil), not on the unseen portion between the handle. It...

I saw a Dog Brothers video with a guy fighting with a Pkal trainer and punctured his opponent's arm with the blunt tip by accident. Eye opening What Blerv said. Metal trainers and drones can be used quite safely for training, but they are NOT for even moderate intensity or very serious contact. The...
