Re: I'm in love with Ultem...

lexan...(is) very fragile and almost guaranteed to break. Lexan (polycarbonate) is not fragile. It scratches easily but is quite durable. It's used to make safety lenses and shields, machine guards, optical discs, etc. Are you perhaps thinking of acrylic? https://youtu.be/YejBjGwfmIo&t=45s

Re: PM 2 Cru Carta color

I know what you mean, my copy has one light scale and one dark. The darker side seems to be more saturated with resin than the lighter side. I think it's just variation in the material.

Re: enuff 2!!!

I had been interested in this knife but had decided not to buy it. However I managed to get a very good deal on an Enuff 2 K390. The shop made a pricing error, so I ordered it expecting them to cancel. Instead they shipped it right away and I just received it two days later. Thank you if you see thi...

Re: Introducing the Native Chief Lightweight (courtesy of SpyderCollector)

It can't possibly weigh 1.9oz/54g, can it? That would be over 30% lighter than the Stretch 2 XL LW. The linerless Para 3 LW is 2.4 oz. The Benchmade Bugout with its 2.3 mm thick stock, 3.2" blade and minimalistic liners is 1.85 oz. It would certainly be an impressive feat if that figure is acc...

Typically Eezox if it won't come in contact with food, and Ballistol or mineral oil if it might. If Frog Lube interests you, you could use coconut oil at a fraction of the cost: https://www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/frog-lube-is-coconut-oil-you-heard-it-here-first.302999/ I don't use either ...

native salt magnacut
manix 2 lw salt (i know it's coming and i want it in all black too!)
Would these be visually distinguishable from C41PBBK5 & C101PBBK2 other than by blade markings?

Re: magnacut gb2 salt

I really strongly dislike the sharpening notch (aka giant snag point) on the GB2 What is a flaw to You is probably an advantage to many others ;). I strongly dislike knives without a sharpening notch and introduce one myself to any that lack it :D. Different strokes for different folks. Whatever no...

Re: SE MagnaCut Testing Thread

Very interesting cut testing and sharpening, thank you for your efforts. Just FYI, Cat 5 is the yellow cable you cut first. The black stuff that mangled the serration is coaxial cable, probably RG-6.

Re: Delica conundrum

About the dimensions changed to get thinner geometry with full flats on blades with the same stock thickness. All that happens is a reduction of the primary grind angle. The grind tapers the blade spine, steeply at the plunge and gradually on the way out to the tip. For example, the Bow River’s spi...

Re: Delica conundrum

Just to grind them thinner bte. They are doing it with the K390 ones which are in full production so what’s the big deal ? What dimension(s) are they changing to enable the K390 models to be thinner BTE? For a fully flat-ground blade, BTE thickness is completely determined by blade stock thickness,...

I wonder why KC lists MSRP as 320, does that mean there was an error in the reveal price guide? Spyderco.com still shows MSRP at 240.

Re: UKPK Salt now in Magnacut!

Other than ease of sharpening and handle color, is there any reason to prefer the LC200N over the Magnacut UKPK? LC200N has higher toughness. Thanks. Based on my experiences with PE LC200N in the UKPK and spydiechef and Magnacut in the mule, and the way I use my UKPKs, I would definitely prefer Mag...

Is this the first Manix with skeletonized liners?
most, if not all, of the exclusives have skeletonized liners.
Beat me to it, I can add that curiously the regular production S110V model also has them.
