Re: Manix 2 Sprint Run
+1 here. I would love to see the Manix 2 with a K390 blade. That could easily become my all time favorite :spyder: .MMGRenovations wrote:Well did some homework and I think I would like a Manix 2 in K390. I don't see much offered with that steel and Manix 2 is my favorite platform.

Re: What models should Spyderco come out with next?
I'm probably all alone in the woods on this one, but I would really like to see a new version of the Titanium Chaparral. There are so many additional options that could be done with the Titanium frame in machined designs and color anodizing, as Chris Reeve Knives has done with their Sebenza series k...

Re: Diamond Benchstones? Maintenance & Durability?
I have used both the Polycrystaline and the Monocrystaline bench stones in a variety of grits and the Monocrystaline is, for me, the more long lasting and superior stone. When in use I clean it with Windex when it loads up, wiping with a microfiber towel or an old clean rag. Before storing it I clea...

Geez Louise, sneaky for sure!! I never even noticed the dates and just thought it was a worthwhile Topic. My thoughts as well.Bodog wrote:I think the mule team blades are the only ones that should have the technical data included for research and comparison reasons. The whole point of the MT project.
I think this would add to the interest of the Mule Team Project for many of us. :)

Re: What Spydie would you grab in an emergency?
After carefully reading all the posts and different scenarios on this thread I've now put all my good knives in a wheelbarrows just inside the back door. Beloved wife's complaining that the kitchen is no place for a wheelbarrow full of knives so I wheeled it into the lounge room and she still isn't...

Re: What Spydie would you grab in an emergency?
Easy choice for me. It would be at least one of my Mules. I edc a Mule, and that one lays on my nightstand next to the bed when I'm not dressed and carrying it. I also keep a Mule in my Emergency Evacuation Bag, that contains my grab and go gear. If I had time to throw a few things in the vehicle b...

Re: Mule Team 26 Heat Treat
What I am wondering, has anyone been able to test the MT26 to determine the actual Rc hardness of this knife? I do not have access to a Rockwell C tester, and I am wondering if anyone else has checked it out to verify hardness. This is all I was asking. Simple enough, or so I thought ....... :) Dave

Re: Mule Team 26 Heat Treat
Because it causes more problems than it could possibly solve. Get one, use it hard, see how it performs in your use. If it doesn't live up to your expectations, then worry about the heat treatment/hardness. I can't say I have any worries concerning heat treatment, especially from Spyderco. I have a...

Manix 2 Sprint Run
I am trying to bond with my Manix 2 LW, but I just can't get used to the FRCP frame. It is light, practically disappears in the pocket, and is easy to carry, but it just doesn't feel "right" to me, especially after handling the Manix 2 with the skeletonized stainless steel liners and G-10 ...

My long anticipated Carpenter PMA11 Mule Team 26 arrives tomorrow! :) I am especially looking forward to this one and experiencing the PMA11 steel. Very interesting post Lance. I always enjoy a good practical field use review.
Sometimes the best knife for the job is the one you have with you. Glad the Millie served you well enough.

I just placed my order with MDL for 3 pairs of laces, scheduled to arrive the first of the week.
