Good to hear that you've had no problems with checked luggage. Some people had told me horror stories about having items stolen from checked luggage.

I like the compression lock on the ATR very much. For a righty, it is very convenient for one-handed open/closing. The CL is a brilliant innovation.

The only upgrade I'd recommend for the ATR is phosphor bronze washers to make it smooth.

The J D Smith is now on the Discontinued Product offerings at $49.95! I got one last year and find it very compatible with suits and such.

I enjoy my Mora knives. Great inexpensive tools.

I strop the entire bevel on very fine sand paper (1500 grit)laid over an old mouse pad. Learned this from a web search on convex grinds. Works great.

I also like my Spyderco J D Smith as a mid-sized folder for dress carry. The micarta scales and light weight make it very convenient.

It is discontinued but I see it occasionally on the web.

Got mine locally, but the best on-line price I've seen is on http://www.thefirestore.com/store/product.cfm?pID=2036. Don't know anything about them as a vendor, though; so, caveat emptor.
