Re: More 4V anyone?

A 4V Para 3 is at the top of my list.

I’ve thought about buying one on the aftermarket, I just can’t stomach paying those aftermarket flipper prices.

Re: Sal, Can we get CPM 15v?

Wow this is really exciting. I’m in. This kind of stuff is exactly the reason why I joined team Spyderco! :spyder: Since everyone else has thrown out what knife they’d like to see, may throw my suggestion out there? How about a Para 3 with a straight edge blade? (Wharncliffe, Tanto, sheepsfoot, stra...

Re: Interest in a Super Blue Para 3?

It took quite a while for the 52100 Para3 to sell out. Plus, Japan isn’t going to export super blue. I would try to find one in 52100. That may be as close as you will get. The name is not as cool but the performance is somewhat comparable in relation to the full spectrum of steels available today....

Interest in a Super Blue Para 3?

How does an Aogami Super Blue Para 3 sound? Maybe with some dark navy or denim blue g-10 scales? :spyder: Super blue is probably my favorite knife steel(via handmade Japanese kitchen knives), and Para 3 has become my favorite edc knife. I would do bad things for a Super Blue Para 3... Am I alone on ...

Re: KnifeJoy Damascus Delica and Endura

Great looking knives, I love the look of this damascus pattern.

Can anyone who owns the previous damascus delicas speak to the blade’s performance? Does it perform and act just like standard vg-10?

Re: K390 pm2 Launch Shenanigans

Can’t say I understand the shipping cost complaints.

$15 for usps priority shipping plus insurance is... I mean, that’s about what it costs.
Depending on box size & how much the insurance is, it could actually be more than that.

Cool! I’d love to visit a foundry like Crucible.
Looking forward to pics, and especially looking forward to what’s coming in the future!

Re: S30V

S30v has been an odd bird for me, but I think I got it figured out. On my Idahone fine rods(1200-1500) I just couldn’t get S30v sharp enough to shave hair from my arm. I found that about 10 passes on a leather strop gives it a HUGE jump in sharpness. On the other side of the coin, I found that it al...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

While searching the far corners of the internet on Sunday, I stumbled across a bnib Para 3 in Cruwear (the smooth g-10 model) for $180.

The Spyderco gods blessed me!

Re: Waterway Options Poll

I voted orange handle only. (Bright yellow or green would be cool too). I love serrations on all of my outdoor & fishing knives, I find them invaluable- except for 2 tasks: skinning knives(hunting) and filet knives(fishing). Given this knife seems to double as a filet knife, I didn’t vote for se...

Re: Future of the Mule Team Project

I don’t get the impression that there’s a lack of interest. No more so than any other fixed blade knife I’d guess. There’s 26 different models and only one available (the newest one). There’s only about 18 available on eBay and prices are not cheap. 12 were sold on there last month. That leads me to...

Re: So what's your top 3 favorite steels? and why?

Hi all. Topic says it all. I'm just curious. We've built a lot of models with a lot of steels and we're still doing that as it is one of our passions. I know there will always be new steels and we're surely be working with them. But I find that myself as well as other knife afi's do have their favo...

Re: So what's your top 3 favorite steels? and why?

Of the ones I’ve used: • M4 : Tough, edge retention, gets very sharp. • Aogami Super Blue : Maybe the most beautiful steel ever and gets sharp easily. Can get scary sharp. • ZDP-189 : Just a great overall steel, with some of the best edge retention I’ve experienced. What I want most: • Cruwear • K39...

Re: CRUWEAR for all!

I’m glad I’m not alone. I actually joined here to inquire about Cruwear para 3’s, it’s at the top of my knife wishlist(from any brand). More Cruwear would be great, and extremely cool as a production model steel. Spyderco could even offer a coated model on the bigger knives for those who need the ex...

Re: More Para 3 Cruwear models coming?

Thanks for the replies ya’ll, I appreciate it. I’ve definitely been following them on the secondary market but the prices are crazy (around $300). I’m sure Spyderco and distributors are taking note of the buzz on Cruwear around the forums and YouTube. I have no interest in the para 3 LW, but perhaps...

Re: Very Sharp

Mind if I ask why you use only one knife for the entire butchering process? I’ve always used 2 knives- A smaller blade for the early stages/gutting and then a larger more food oriented/culinary style knife for meat removal. If I did it more often(and did skinning), I’d break it into 3 knifes- a smal...

More Para 3 Cruwear models coming?

Howdy, New to the forum, my first post- I actually signed up to the forum to ask about Cruwear; More specifically- if there will be more Para 3 Cruwear models. The para 3 is the knife that finally brought me over to team Spyderco (a smaller sized knife with the compression lock). I plan to pick up t...
