If it's a mate, tell the truth: you owe your friend that.
If it's a stranger, tell the truth: why become a liar on their account?
One has to be kinder to children and workmates, I suppose, but you can perhaps ask the latter if they really want to know what you think!

Bad luck! There's always a transition from "new" to "used", but most often that's a slow, gradual process! I think we all must have favoured things that have wandered far from the pristine, but the real point is that the good stuff keeps going, working well, whereas the rubbish d...

I'm interested in this, too. I have a DF sized hole to fill, and a wallet-itch.

What's steel the best for careful edc?

I think that by-and-large, forum users probably can differentiate between "honest" criticism/complaint and disgruntled rants for themselves. Personally I'm as interested in the former as the "posts of unbridled joy".

Good honest debate, though!

The size, both of blade and handle ( I have spades for hands), plus the ergo's of the liner lock- it seems to need less manipulation within the hand to unlock. That's no disrespect to the PM2 - it's clearly a masterpiece, and more fun to flick about with! Spyderco seems to hit the mark with so many ...

I recently acquired a Military, to accompany my PM2, Manix LW, and Delica.

I'm utterly hooked on the Millie! I edc the sheeple friendly Delica, and use the LW as a weekend beater, but seriously now wondering where the PM2 fits.

A plain jane black/satin Millie, to join my PM2, Delica and Manix LW.

You could probably read too much of my character in that line up!

The diamond rods arrived today, and I couldn't resist trying them on our sad little Global wharncliffe paring knife. The blade is very short and awkward to manipulate on a stone, and to be honest a bit of a mess after years of half-arsed sharpening attempts. 10 minutes later, the edge is true and sh...

Why is there no SpyderPry? A winner for the Resilience line, surely? A sacrificial tool to save our fine tips, perhaps designed to clip under the spydieclip.

All fair points but most SAK's are cheap enough (here) to be virtually disposable. It means they get used / carried without worrying about them. I bought my nephew's an alox Farmer each for Xmas - each less than one tenth the price of a Millie. The blades are good enough for light duty work, and the...

Sharpmaker arrival...

My first impressions are what a really well thought out piece of kit it is. Clear instructions, too: no dodgy translation here! Next, a few tentative strokes by my hitherto un-sharp sg Delica 4 and it's shaving the hairs off my arm already. Since my order, I've been watching / reading some of the ad...

In the final analysis, the only FACT that forum users can be sure of in this murky tale is that Mr Glesser demonstrably cares about his products and his customers.

If there were shards in the packaging when you opened it, the damage happened in transit on return. If there were no shards, they were packed up in that condition. If they initially arrived at any returns dept with that amount of damage evident one would have certainly expected the company to commen...

Every weekday my Delica 4. Big and strong enough to get the job done without spooking the horses. Weekends, ManixLW for dirty work, PM2 for anything else. That's my whole life sorted by my entire collection, but I still crave more. Why is that?

Spyderco are good guys, but it would surely be asking too much of them to facilitate 2nd hand sales that might be to the detriment of their sales of new items.
