Re: Yojimbo 2 & Lil Temperance 3

I like both, but only own a Lil'Temp 3. One day I might pick up a Yojimbo 2 also. Prefer the blade shape & ergonomics of the Lil'Temp 3, but the Yojimbo 2 is not bad either. Yojimbo 2 is definitely a slimmer handle & takes up less space clipped in your pocket. Oh that's good to know as well...

I was thinking that too. It would be sweet. Sort of like the delica did, just try to keep the blade as similar as possible while changing the edge and then keep the same handle and grind. It would be awesome.

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

Wow, that's pretty lame of them. It's not like the seller loses any money. I actually have some knives for sale on ebay right now and I moved mine from the "collectables" category over TO "sporting goods" and put a note in the listing for people to use the promo code (i'll change...

Nice! Looks like it is just a touch bigger than the persistence.

I like the look of this model as well, has the blade length been published? Sort of hoping it's bit longer than the persistence.

Re: Yojimbo 2 & Lil Temperance 3

Pretty basic, do you use the tip a lot or do you make "cutting board cuts" with the belly more? If you find that you almost never cut against a flat surface like you would on a cutting board then having a belly may not make a difference in your use, so having an acute tip may be more usef...

Re: Yojimbo 2 & Lil Temperance 3

Hi Rivy, Welcome to our forum. Both models were designed by designers with much experience is creating igh function knife designs. While different, they are both highly evolved. sal Thanks for the response, Sal! It may be a matter of deciding which one to get first rather than which one to get... h...

Re: Yojimbo 2 & Lil Temperance 3

They're both great pieces, just recently picked up the LT3 and absolutely love it. I did get a smokin deal on it so that wasn't an issue at all. The more I've carried it the more I like it. The Yo2 is a nice knife too, no doubt, but it just doesn't end up in my pocket very often, the LT3 fits my ha...

Yojimbo 2 & Lil Temperance 3

Hi All, Let me first say that I don't want this to be a conversation about price. There's an obvious price difference and the price of the LilTemp3 has been talked about a lot. Also, the price sort of goes hand in hand with country of manufacture on them which is also not something I am interested i...

Re: Q-Ball users?

As a fan of the Dodo, I love the look of the Q-ball as well, but it's priced a bit higher than I hoped so I'm also in "wait and see" mode at the moment. Some of the ball bearing locks are a challenge to close one handed so it's good to hear some of you are easily able to do that.

Re: Red Check Tenatious

I think I may grab one of these... seems like the most interesting version of the tenacious. The color is a bit strange, but I like the polestar style G10 for sure. I heard this was a limited edition as well which adds to the appeal.

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

I saw in some older Byrd Raven 2/Crow2 threads that Sal mentioned he was working with that same factory on some other BD1 models, I wonder if the Rhino was one of those... I believe he was talking about the Polestar. Same China factory as the nicer Byrds, because Sal said that maker improved a lot,...

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

Hey Rivy, and welcome! Yeah, it seems like a good amount of us are disappointed that the price is going up probably to where most of the rest of the models are. The original price we saw was without question a surprising value, and now we know why. That factory won the business by undercutting on p...

Re: Byrd Clips

Welcome to the forum! My older Cara Cara could use Endura clip. Do they make changes? Otherwise there's plenty of after market deep carry clips offered on the web, but prices are like one Cara Cara per pcs. Another option is to burn the clip (after taking it off) over stove to orange glow. It...

I'd love a premium tenacious. Doesn't need to be crazy super steel, but an upgrade to steel and handle material would be a great sprint run.

Byrd Clips

Anyone know if there's any where to find deep carry or even black clips for Byrds? I've got a meadowlark FRN and my biggest complaint is the silver clip, it's shiny and non-deep carry. I guess my other complaint is that I couldn't get one of the screws out of it. I'm going to have to dremel a slot f...

Re: Cara Cara Rescue in orange FRN? AWESOME, thanks Sal!

I've been thinking of ordering the rescue in orange and a normal FRN Cara Cara to do a blade swap. Anyone know if this is possible. It appears the handles and size and everything are the same since the rescue is also a cara cara model. I'd love an orange cara cara.

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

Long time listener, first time caller... I had to register to comment on this. The upgrades sound great, but the PRICE was the factor that had this knife on the top of my list. If this thing is in the neighborhood of $100 or more, I'm out for sure. The knife is too small and the design too funky to ...
