Hey Bram,
Thanks for the recommendation on the horizontal holster! Mac_Heath, I have pictures of version 2 up at the cssdsc website. Not sure if horizontal carry is what you want, but...

Hi, There will be lots of more experienced people than me around who can answer this better, but let me start (in no particular order)... ;-) 1) Cost. Yes, this is a consideration, or we would all be carrying sebenzas or custom Emersons... 2) Lock strength and security. Up to a level, I would say th...

Kamloops MBC training partner?
Hi,
I know this is a super long shot but... I am wondering if there is anyone in Kamloops who is/would be interested in getting together to do some training. Y'see, I just got this little red gunting drone and I have no one to play with...

CRKT M16-13SF gunting ramp knockoff?
Just looking through the latest Tactical Knives and see in the CRKT add that they have an M16 knife with a double Carson Flipper. Now, I don't know for sure about patents and patent law, but I would think the front flipper would make a dandy kin-op device...

Hi BOK, I am actually in Kamloops, but I get down to Vancouver on a semi-irregular basis. I am down for the weekend of Feb 1, 2, hopefully to return Steve's tapes to him and perhaps visit Bolo at the Oakridge store... I'm a real newbie at this Gunting game, but I have been told I can handle pain wel...

...now I know why you call him "Tiny"... ;-)
I met Steve over the weekend. He pumped me up a bit and I came home with a stack of videos and an order for a Gunting. Now, if my drone would just show up...

I have no experience with the Chinook, but have been carrying a leaf blade temperance for about 3 months now. Not quite sure what your intended use is, but for an EDC knife, I think the temperance is absolutely wonderful. It fits the hand like it was molded to it, it is absoutely rock solid (more so...

Bram: Bad news on the wait for the Tusok. Still, I just won a pretty good Ebay nib drone so I am happy (temporarily, anyway...). I'm not sure, but if someone was wanting a Boston/NY legal blade, they could take a regular gunting and grind down the blade a bit. Or would that be sacrilege! As soon as ...

Tusok (again) blade length
Bram, Sorry I missed you at Steve Bunchanumbers' Vancouver seminar. I ended up being delayed in the bush for two days too many to be able to drive down in time. Looking forward to the summer -03 one though... I was just trolling through the stuff on the Tusok, and noticed you mentioned the idea of a...

Hi Bram, Thanks for the response. The knife is a Lil' Temperance, not the fixed blade. So I guess I will have to bug Sal about getting to work on the drone and stop farting around with new models like that Snody/Janich thing... ;-) I will get a Gunting drone....as soon as I can make it down to Vanco...

Hi and thanks for the heads up. I wonder about warranty stuff like this. One of the reasons I purchased an Emerson was because Ernie specifically does *not* mind if you take his knife apart for cleaning and put it back together. Unless there is some esoteric gimcrackery buried in there somewhere, th...

Taking apart my Temperance
Has anyone taken apart their Temperance yet? I am specifically thinking about removing the pivot bolt for cleaning and lubing etc. Normally, I would not hesitate to do this with any other knife, but I have heard some scuttlebutt that there is some kind of "eccentric pivot" or something, pr...

Temperance Drone?
I know Spyderco is swamped with demand for new stuff (it took 3 months to get a leaf blade temperance into Canada). Still, I was wondering, is there any plans for a Temperance drone? I suppose I can get ahold of a delica drone and try modifying it a bit with epoxy or something, but the real thing wo...
