i find some of those needlessly complicated. You want to get them off at some point right? lol. I dont think I will be altering my bunny ears technique. If I want it more secure, I double knot the loops.

I dont think anyone can wholeheartedly argue that pressing a button isnt easier than flicking a hole/stud in a high stress situation (or any situation for that matter). Also as another member said, (i think Blev) with an auto, you dont have to adjust your grip as much as you do with standard thumb ...

its polished g10, not micarta as some have said. G10 should be even harder to mark up though, so there may indeed be something wrong. for the record, my southfork is super solid in sheath.

I love large folders, the military is one of my favorites! My only Millie is the fluted titanium model (poor me huh?) and it's the smoothest deploying and closing knife I own, even above my sebenza! I also carry a police 3 spyderedge, so the size is not an issue for me. (and I cannot wait for the ul...

The Szabo and Southard Folders HAVE to be dropping soon, dont they!?

Pre order has been up for a while for the southard, and we have been hearing "soon" on the szabo folder for a while now, these two imminent models MUST be on the way soon! I was sort of surprized the tuff beat them both down the spyder pipeline. Does any one have a more exact idea when we ...

get a dodo, its too ugly to be threatening!

So is it safe to say if you spydie dropped a civillian in your environment, people might consider running ?

The dfly as stated is a great non threatening option.

I guess you have no interest in ownin a szabo folder when it comes out then...

yea evil d beat me to it, that sounds like a $200+ knife. One of the big cost drivers would be those liners since if you want it to be a salt knife, they would need to be Ti or H1, both really expensive. not to mention tooling up for an FRN mold for a new model and all that Its a great day dream thr...

Hey, Jazz, I still have my first item I whittled, It was a dog carved out of soap. I believe the soap we used was ivory, it made a FANTASTIC first medium with which to learn whittling. I HIGHLY suggest anyone trying to teach this to a youngster pick up a six pack of bar soap, the squarer the better,...

It is very easy to deploy with fire gloves on, i have no idea what kind of gloves underwater welders use  but i can imagine they are a bit bulky....

Well, my problem was with the controlled opening. I can open it your way and with a middle finger flick and a wrist flick reliably. Slow and controlled is easy. It's drawing and opening fast with thumb on thumbhole that's my preference and my problem(I flub it about 30 percent of the time). My thum...

Thanks for the vid DC, I guess it works for you. I can flick with my thumb or middle finger but I prefer not to. Maybe the Yo2 just doesn't work with a normal controlled opening with the thumb. Anyhow, a controlled opening is how I practice with my SD and we do find that it's one of the least likel...
