Re: New Spyderco owner, help with sharpening, upkeep
+1 on the Sharpmaker. I used my old single angle SM last night to touch up the edge on my Sage 2 and then finished with KP Strop Block. The Sage 2 is more than shaving sharp now. I sometimes consider buying a more expensive sharpening unit or going back to my old bench stones and then I come to my s...

Re: The .22 Rimfire thread
I am pleasantly shocked and surprised that I so quickly found two of you guys who are even aware of the older 5MM Remington Rimfire rifle. Because I believe it was either in the mid to late 70s when they were discontinued. If I remember correctly the ammo was rather pricey which is why I turned dow...

Re: The .22 Rimfire thread
One trivia question I want to throw up to you all >> Do any of you remember that Remington once also had another obscure Rimfire rifle in 5MM produced back in the 60s & 70s>> I never owned one but I heard they were also very accurate and comparable to a .22 Hornet. Very interesting thread and m...

Re: Knife Loss: Question for all
Great news everyone: I FOUND THE KNIFE. I had it somewhere nearby that I had (embarrassed to say this) forgotten I had put it there. All is good now. Great news! I was just reading this and was going to say that you have to politely tell your relative that you seemed to have misplaced a knife and a...

Re: Your top 3 (Owned) Spyderco folders
This is a tough one! They're all so new to me.
Nicest/Most Expensive:
Sage 1
Sage 2
Manix 2
Most carried/used:
Dragonfly 2
Delica 4
Native 5 LWT
The Persistence will continue to see a lot of use too. I know it's a cheapie but I really like this knife! I just hate that it says China on it.

Re: The .22 Rimfire thread
Doc that's a beautiful ATD. I'm a big Browning .22 fan, especially those made in Belgium. I don't have an ATD but I do have one of the Norinco copies. They are fun little guns and I hope to get a Browning one of these days. I really prefer plinking with my pistols over my rifles. Here's a shot of t...

Re: Hello Spyderco Fans!
In that case, you should have a look at the Chaparral at some point. Probably my favorite of Spyderco's smaller offerings. Thanks! I already have my eye on the Chap. I need to lay of the knife purchases for awhile and use the ones I have. On the other hand, if I can find a Chap for the right price ...

Re: Hello Spyderco Fans!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'm not too much into rimfire, (excluding my trusty 10-22) but interested in what forum that you moderate. Rimfire Central One note...the paramilitary 2 is very popular for a reason. ;) I'm well aware of the PM2's. I don't have one (yet) but that's the knife tha...

Re: The .22 Rimfire thread
One of my favorites. 1946 Remington 513T that was in poor condition when I bought it many years ago. I refinished the stock and had my brother reblue the metal. It's quite accurate providing I feed it high-end ammo. http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv234/PWNolan2008/8e17ab2b-720b-4bd6-80e7-4685e9a...

The .22 Rimfire thread
I mentioned in my introductory thread that I'm a firearm enthusiast and, while I own & enjoy centerfire firearms too, I'm particularly fond of .22 rimfire rifles and handguns. Member swigert suggested we start a rimfire thread so....here you go! I'm interested in hearing a little about your .22 ...
