I saw in a picture book about deep sea diving an experimental deep sea suit (pictured said the suit was the Navy's) that had the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> SS Harpy open and bolted to one of the pincher arms. I thought it was cool that the US Navy could...

dfmccarthy, You're right about we should let people know that the right of self defense covers knives too. But I would rather try to emphize the need of a knife as an everyday tool for boxes, letters, rope, woods, garden, rescue, ..... on and on. I think it would be easier for the sheeple to except ...

I want the old poster with all the animals and "Think about it, all of God's other criters have knives" (I think that is how the quote went)

Sorry, I don't know where to get one either. Just wanting out loud.

Zenmic, Welcome to <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>land! If the above suggestions don't pan out for you I still have one of the original Rescues. Unlike you I prefer the Rescue 98, metal clip and new handle shape. My Zytel Rescue is a spare for me so we can w...

Dialex,
Is it that the Dragonfly is not comfortable in your hand? Do you have one yet? I ask because I think it is very comfortable in the hand, especially for a knife that small. That's why I like them so much.

Sense we are clearly spinning off into what, how, and when the sheeple will get anything sharp banned. The recent issue of Blade had a letter to the editor for a knife maker in Montana. He says a sales clerk openly called him a total psycho because he was buying a swiss army knife for a 14 year old'...

It doesn't sound like any of use has used a SS Dragonfly. Anybody have a comment on one?

Still wondering about left hand models or SS clips on the FRN.

Gentle<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s, My question is what are the Amusement Parks afraid of? Are you likely to highjack the roller coaster and refuse to let anybody else ride it? Are they declaring with a loud clear voice "We are too much of a sheeple...

Remember the Dragonfly

I ask this because the talk of mini-<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s always seems to mention the Cricket or Ladybugs. Ladybugs and Jesters by the way I think should be referred to as MICRO-<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle borde...

Tay The R was a short run <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> simmilar to the Q. It had a longer blade and tuff-ram aluminum handle. It also had a laser cut out blade but I don't know if any designs were ever put on it. So it is legit. Other <img src="spyde...

Spyder_dude, What are you? in market research or something? IMO the world of knives has really good makers of folders and really good makers of fixed blades. SOG falls into the fixed blade list. Their fixed blades seem indestructible but I haven't put all my effort into breaking one. Well made and s...

I had somehow thought this would have been a more popular topic. I thought Sal was more interested in knife designs and user wants then political bantering. I have heard it said that a blade is not truely yours until it tastes a little of your blood.

GronK, The reasons I don't like Gerber is their loss of quality sense being bought by Fiskers. In the early-mid 80s they were one of the top makers to me. Around 92-93 I noticed their stuff was starting to degrade. I switched to the Gerber multi-tool thinking their design had some improvements over ...

Spyder_dude, If you already have the Endura and Delica, take them both, backup never hurts. If you are still looking to buy, J Smith's advice on the Native is good. I think I would suggest the SE though. I like to have the option of serations for heavier cutting and ropes, items you are sure to meet...
