Re: The One I Can't Do Without

For me it would be the Dragonfly as well SS handles full Spyderedge.
At one point I had about 6 of them.
Never had the chance to get one of them new ones with adjustable pivot.
Am curious though.
H1 in full SE would do nicely LOL

Dropping by and a "thanks again

Greetings you all :) I've been away from here since 2009 or so because of financial setbacks, changing laws over here (isn't as bad after all) and Spyderco producing less and less models in full Spyderedge. However I feel a bit disgraceful because form 2005-2009 I had a great time on this forum and ...

Re: Models We Absolutely NEED in Spyderedge

Been away since about 2010 and gt interested in traditional pocket knives. One of the reasons I lost my interest in Spyderco knives beside personal financial set backs is the fact that Spyderco was producing less and less models in full Spyderedge. I know hat Sal and company must make a living, but ...

Happy New Year.

I may hardly come here anymore but this great place has been my second home from 2005 until 2009.

So I would like to wish everyone over here a great 2014 ;)

I see a fully serrated blade as a knife I'd carry for a specific purpose or environment - if I am cutting a lot of plastic or nylon material, working with wet of slippery material, etc. They are not usually my "full size" EDC but my serrated Ladybug is always on my key chain in case I nee...

Terrific macro shots
Makes this old SpyderEdge fan's heart tick harder ;)

When you look up the word serrations in a dictionary, the first thing you see is the logo of Spyderco :D

Made me carry one of my fully SpyderEdge Spydies again instead of my American Traditionals :p

Despite the fact that Delica developped massive vertical play, the scallops of the SpyderEdge never chipped. I once tried out a fresh out of the box Dodo/SE in S30V at that same job and the scallops chipped all over the place. Once I sharpened out the chips and polished the edges it got better...

A few years ago I had a printing job where I used one of my Delica's 3/SE VG10 very hard: Cutting heavy plastic foils Cutting away layers of rest foil on a cardboard cilinder while putting pressure with my other hand on the spine. Cutting very heavy cardboard Cutting heavy/thick tie rips The Delica ...

Same over here... :( Being out of a job and having difficulties paying my bills I really can't afford buying knives at the moment. I will buy an occasional Opinel to fool around with to keep me occupied, but Spydies are waaay out of my range at the moment. That's one of the reasons I hardly visit th...

I hope Seki still has the serration wheels of the Calypso, so Spyderco could make some in full SpyderEdge as well :D
My FRN Calypso Jr/SE. is a real serrated pocket light sabre.
Wishful thinking of course, but it would be nice :)

Back in the day I had the chance to by a Micarta and a SS Calypso Jr. in full SpyderEdge for a pretty reasonable price. Let them go because of the AUS 8(foolish steel snob that I was becoming ) and did buy a FRN one in SpyderEdge. Now that I know better I can kick myself in the butt for this (should...
