Re: To those of you who beat the snot out of your salt knives: how’s your action?

I carry mine to work at the plant and it gets exposed to every weather element you can think of, as well as hours of sweat, oil and grime in the pivot, you name it. Action is drop shut smooth and lockup is the best on any lock back spyderco I have ever had. Zero play after constant use. https://i.im...

Re: My Military conundrum.

I love my s110v military, one of my top 3 favorite knives. Not sure why everyone is so scared of sharpening it. It doesn’t require any special skills, just takes a few more passes on the stone. I freehand sharpen mine and touch it up on the ceramic rods to get it crazy sharp. Holds an edge forever a...

Absolutely. That is the folder I am holding off for, although I’d go for a se police 4 lw to hold me over.

Poor, old S30V! Such a good steel for a base model (and generally), yet still the least votes... :(
I know man! I love s30v. Great mix of edge holding, corrosion resistance and toughness. One of my favorite all around steels for a working blade, which is what the military is!

FFG and SG blades from the same model have the same thickness at the lock bar, lock interface and pivot area.
Thanks, I was totally wrong. Looked it up in the catalog yesterday like “well I’ll be damned.” I guess the taper of the ffg makes it seem thinner to me.

Re: SE Shaman or Caribbean?

I sold my PE shaman and got the SE shaman and I freakin love it. To me the serrations on this knife just take it over the top in terms of performance, and the plain edge just doesn’t take full advantage of the potential of the design. I really feel like the se shaman is one of if not THE most capabl...

Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?

I have a Compression lock prototype. sal I don’t care if you put 420hc on it I am in!! The military is so much greater than the sum of its part, ask anyone who has given it a real chance. My favorite folder, hands down. It’s the best liner lock on the market but I Always thought a compression lock ...
