I’ve been wanting to see some SE in CTS BD1N. Not too picky about the model. Just curious as to why there hasn’t been any, unless I’ve just missed it.

Re: Spyderco Models We Need In FULL SE

I've always thought the Ouroboros would have been outstanding in SE. Yeah that would have been quite interesting. I also wondered why the ARK model wasn't offered with teeth as well???? While the initial release of the ARK was PE only, a fully serrated version was produced (and then discontinued). ...

kiwi 172's went from $12 shipped for a pair to $10.

Highly recommended for a medium sized no nonsense cutter.
Too good a deal not to give them a try.

Re: Can anybody tell me more about this knife?

That's a heck of a find. As noted above, it's a limited edition, mid-tech, version of Bob Terzuola's classic ATCF model. Made for Mr. Terzuola by Three Rivers Manufacturing, I believe.

Re: Can anybody tell me more about this knife?

Looks like a Terzuola ATCF, but also doesn't look quite right. Can you post some more pictures, including one showing the logo on the blade better?

Edit: It's a Terzuola ATCF EDC Mid-Tech.

Re: Janky grind on K390 Delica Wharncliffe

Enjoyment that would turn to disappointment if I bought a new one, opened the box and discovered that the edge looked like the OP’s does here and I now had start correcting it on diamond stones. Again, just my opinion. I accept other people would be delighted, happy, ok or indifferent upon discover...

I also folded. StretchXL Salt SE inbound. Couldn’t say no at that price. It seems to be m new favorite model so I might as well get this variant.
Same here. I wasn't going to buy this version, since the VG-10 one is already linerless and even weighs less. But for $86 delivered? Couldn't resist.

Re: Why is 1095 steel popular amongst knife makers?

It's already been said, but yeah, its cheap and easy to work with. It blows me away when I see $200+ knives made from 1095. I could care less how good someone is at blade smithing, no knife made of 1095 is worth that much. That's like paying $50 for a McDonalds cheeseburger. (Which I suppose isn't ...

The visible screw appears to be a pivot screw installed in the wrong place.
I thought it looked a bit too big. Makes one wonder what the OP has done to that poor knife. :O

Re: Tip of folding knife is exposed and cuts me

Seems more likely to me that something is preventing the blade from closing completely. From the OP's previous two posts on the forum, that's an S110V Native 5 and, from the state of the torx screw in the photo, the knife has been disassembled.

Re: Chasing Ghosts: The effect of edge aggression between steels.

Thanks Shawn. I know it's just a start, but it's good to see objective, measurable, evidence showing that one steel can, in fact, have greater edge aggression than another, under otherwise identical conditions.

I too, would rather the Stretch have its graceful curves. I have an SE Stretch 2XL with its straight spine, but it's hard to think of it as being related to my OG Hap40 Stretch.

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.

Let me preface this by noting the Native 5 is the only Spyderco model I own five of, two of them SE: S35VN (20°) and Magnacut (15°). I own one Para 3, SE, BD1N (20°) and I'm unlikely to add another Para 3 to my collection. That said, if I was going to recommend one of the two models to someone who's...

i really wanted the drop point, but it came out right as i moved to a state that doesn't allow concealed carry of fixed blades . that makes it hard to carry one outside of hiking and i already have other knives that are better suited for that. i'd have no problem edc'ing a small 8cr13mov fixed blad...

Re: Chaparral LW SE

Nice picture. I feel like Taichung, Golden & Seki's serrations are all distinctive, with Seki being the most aggressive, followed by Golden, and Taichung being the most subtle. Moki gets the award for most snaggled, LOL! If you ignore the snaggletooth portion of the Masa Ayoob blade, the Moki s...
