it says "bureau of ordnance" on the bottom and its scratched out on the top. the inside of the ring has ridges

thanks... so... you think it was just a ring someone had made? i was wondering if it was like a soldier's ring or something... but i have no clue about this stuff. i was told it was from the civil war era but i don't know if that's at all credible

i'm scared i'll dull the tip of my knife... how do i avoid this and how do you sharpen the tip of a knife on it?

When i order a knife and i get say an s30v blade, what should i do to the factory edge? Do i leave it, use the sharpmaker, strop it? should i make it a coarse edge or fine edge? Just wondering

don't worry, knifebro :) i feel your 1 spydie pain. although having 1 sure is nice! It's easy to forget that having one folding knife is a luxury many don't get to enjoy

the thing is if i did a regrind i'd be paying pretty much the price of a FFG delica since they're so cheap. i just have one spydie and i need to get another so i don't just have the one. it's a decent work knife and it's sharp but the grind isn't my favorite... should i even think about doing a FFG ...

i'd like that but i'd be fine with just a CE or PE

into a CE or SE? Or is there anywhere i can do that? Just wondering since i love the knife minus the saber grind... and i think a spyderedge would help me like the knife more

just wondering... and i don't mean compared to a 5 degree edge zdp endura :P i mean does it go through boxes pretty darn well compared to a folding knife that isn't flat ground and does the s30v hold up.
