Re: What "others" are in the mail?
I have a Manly Peak in 12c27 coming from reddit's knife_swap and a worktuff atayal coming from Amazon. I'm trying to figure out if more traditional steels are better for the foraging I do.

Re: Any info on why the GB 2 is unobtanium right now?
I would love to see a cqi version or a gb3 without proud liners. As a lefty, a gb3 with a different lock would be amazing. The blade on this knife is darn near perfect, but it was hard for me to use as a lefty so I sold it.

Cut some hedgehog mushrooms with my manix 2 lw. Now that I have a microbevel on it, it works great as a woods folder. BD1N seems to be a very well balanced steel.

Which direction does the spring go when installing it in a Stretch?
Hi! I got a pair of micarta scales for my stretch Hap40. I tried installing them, and I think I wrote here about some of the issues I had. I got it back together but it has no springiness to the lock and it rocks back and forth around the pivot. I inserted the long flat part of the lock bar into the...

Re: Para 3 K390 Ranger green from BBS!
Are the seki sprints a sure thing? I love k390 but as a lefty I prefer to get a dragonfly and stretch over a pm2/3 but if they're not a sure thing I may go for one of these. Sal said recently on this forum that he plans to do a run of k390 sprints on the delica/endura family models. No date set yet...

Re: Your Idea of a DREAM HAWKBILL folder?
Wildcrafter's knife: Decent size 3 to 3.5 inches. The ability to slide or clip in a little brush to the back like the opinel mushroom knives have. A lock that won't get a lot of grit in it but can be opened with one hand. Bright orange or yellow frn in case I lose it in the woods. No liners. Full fl...

I would not pry with any of my spydercos. My jaakaripuukko or my cold steel drop forged hunter do prying work though.

Re: Feasability of partially DLC'd blades (just ricasso and pivot areas)
I wish someone at Spyderco shared my enthusiasm for DLC blades AND liners , it's a game changer for people that deal with heavily corrosive environments. YES! Thats honestly my biggest turn off to all the DLC compression lock knives. The whole knife is wonderfully blacked out, but then you have thi...

That's cool! I didn't realize the Mambo was actually black on the blade. I hope they consider this for functional reasons if it doesn't add too much cost.

Feasability of partially DLC'd blades (just ricasso and pivot areas)
I love the idea of DLC to keep tool steels from rusting quite as readily, but I don't really like th DLC on the ground part of the blade. Would it be feasible to make the area behind the flat grind (ricasso and pivot/internal sections) DLC coated but the flat grind clean metal? This would make a pin...

The manix is an awesome knife for wilderness and really light weight.
