What about using a Drill Press. Put a 6 inch piece of s/steel tube(correct dia.) in the chuck and press out the lanyard tube. Use a hollowed out piece of wood underneath. I'm currently using a Boker Oil Pen. Very lightweight oil. Seems OK so far.
I put some on the pivot and use my finger to smear oil all over the blade.
Sometimes I forget which way to run my finger and get nicked.Focus,focus !!!

I've accidentally doubled-up on a few PM2's and PM3's.
But I've deliberately bought two each of Aqua Salts and Jumpmaster 2's so that I have a "user" and a "safe queen" of each.

What about shims--trigger/hammer shims that are used on eg Smith & Wesson revolvers.
They come in 1 thou and 2 thou thickness. They are in brass or bronze?.I can't remember the dia's.
