The "contemporary" opinion is that wood boards dry out faster and more completely than plastic or glass boards. The bacteria have a harder time living in a very tiny crack in a dry board. The theory is that plastic boards permit moisture to last longer in the cracks of a plastic or glass b...

I'm sure you will see one sometime in the future. The Kiwi will be changing handle material for 2006 so we might see it late in '06. Plans have not been concluded yet for '06 Kopa's.

I'm carrying the proto today. nice piece.

The model is scheduled for about 90-120 days.

Ted, do you have a pic from the Netherlands seminar? If so, you can post it. I don't have a pic, just the proto, darn ;)

BTW, It's not too shabby in Pakal grip as well. Probably our fastest opener.

Hi Mike, It's generally the board that dulls kitchen knives. Food is relatively soft and will not easily dull a hard steel. Sharpen little and often is what we do at our house. Knives are always sharp. You might consider one of our utility serrated models. These are made for cutting boards and will ...

If you've got a broken Spyderco knife (Dodo that defeats), we would prefer that you return it to us so we can fissit. Not safe as it is. Interesting question. I'll see if I can provide info without offending. Also, keep in mind that the following is "just my opinion". Warrantees are a very strong marketing tool and one of the easiest ways to "manipulate" customers. It is not voodoo, but often thought of that way. ...

Hi Al.

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Sounds like a "Chaz" comment. He has a friend named "Steve" that worked for our company 15 years ago. The pair seem to enjoy saying negative things about Spyderco.

The statement is not true.

The latest version has had handle changes. The handle is thinner by quite a bit and we've opened up the ball bearing access area.

There is a D'Allara drop point in the works.

Hi BBRex. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. Spyderco only uses good steels, up to exotic steels. We use more exotic steels than not. ATS-55 was developed and introduced by Spyderco on the Wayne Goodard lighteweight. We still use it on the Dragonfly. VG-10 is getting more use these days than ATS-55, but...

Hi Sia,

Great shots. Beautiful Tanto. Funny Katana.

On the making of Japanee style blades, if our customers want them, we make them.

Hey Doc, on that "legal" Katana as a lipstick holder, no go, lipstick holder knives are illegal. ;)

The "Kumo" was designed by RJ Martin.
