Re: Number of Spyderco Knives in your collection
Thanks David :) What do you like about the Yojimbo? And have you used both PM2 and the military, and if so, why do you use the military aside from having large hands? I have long fingers (I am tall and slim-ish, 6'4"), the PM2 fits my hands ok so I wouldn't change to a military purely for the h...

Re: Customs...
Sorry, forgot to add... with the non-folding razor, also got matching brush in same wood as the scales. And if you view the image, you can see many images of the razor being made (one pic has the digital mockup I designed with the artisan, which he used as a template). He also used chemicals to appl...

Re: Customs...
Great collection Dr Snubnose :) I don't have any custom knifes, but do have 2 custom straight razors. Plus a number of straight razors with custom scales/wedges (I love the old vintage rare razors, but often the scales are horrible and need re-scaling. If I am able to keep the original scales I do s...

Hi Evil D,Evil D wrote:I think I'm at 27 including a couple duplicates. I honestly never thought I'd own this many and sometimes I wonder why I do since I gravitate to using only a couple models.
Do you mind if I ask which knifes of your collection you gravitate to using often, and why?
Cheers,

Wow, that's nuts... I am so jealous...The Deacon wrote:Stopped counting when it hit 500. That was 8 years ago.
I'll just tell myself that it's not the size of the collection, but how one uses them that's important.
I have 3.
I love them all.

Re: I'd like to introduce myself...
Welcome Andrew! I've been interested in learning about straight razors and shaving for awhile now but never quite got around to learning much so, yes, you do have knowledge to offer! I'm sure I'll pick your brain in the future. You've also come to the wrong place I'm afraid, if you want to spend LE...

Re: I'd like to introduce myself...
Hi Sal, Sorry, the penny just dropped as I was reading the thread about tag lines... I didn't realise you ran Spyderco. Thank you for the knifes I have recently purchased. I am very happy with them so far :) And thank you for welcoming me to the forum, I didn't expect that, but it was a kind gesture...

Re: I'd like to let a few of you try my Sprig.
Hi Surfingringo, Im from Brisbane Australia, and would love to try your knife. I propose you fly to Australia and bring the knife. We can meet and I will shout you lunch. I'll bring my Spyderco's and impress you with all 3 of them. Please arrive on a Tuesday as many places have 2 for one meals. When...

Re: Kindness of Your Hearts...
Wow, I cannot believe a person (if one would label them that) would do such a thing for a free knife. I suspect the culprit wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, so to speak... or on this forum, not the spyderco in the drawer lol. Of all the people to try to rip off, what idiot would choose to ri...

Re: I'd like to introduce myself...
Welcome from NorCal. I too am new to Spyderco. Six weeks ago I purchased my first Spyderco, a Spyderco Tighe Stick, http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/kenljohnston/KNIVES/IMG_3890.jpg and that was it, now I'am hooked! I'm now the proud owner of 18 spidies! :) Hi Talon52. I love the scales on tha...

The Exchange section usually has some new or used Spydies up for sale. Thanks Reject, I appreciate the link and info. C...

Welcome Andrew! You've made a fine choice joining the Spyderco community. You can try to restrain yourself, and should as long as you can, but you will most likely find yourself getting a little carried away eventually, as most of us have. But by all means, enjoy what you have for now. Fine choices...

Re: I'd like to introduce myself...
I'm a big fan of shaving with straights myself but i started down that path shaving with a ZDP stretch. Of course it was a night and day difference when I actually used a straight razor for the first time. You'll learn all about steels if you stick around for awhile. Spyderco uses so many different...

Re: I'd like to introduce myself...
Welcome aboard Andrew!! The addiction is very real. It is hard to stop once you get started. If 3 years ago you told me that I would be spending over $150 on a knife I would have laughed in your face, but now less than 2 years later I own close to 20 spydercos, many in that price range. If you are ...
