Yeah prying not a good idea at all even with a hunk of a blade the the Vallotton get a pry bar tool and attach it to a lanyard on the knife . Boker do them as do a few others small enough to put on a lanyard big enough to do the job. Even if you don't snap the blade, you'll eventually cause deformat...

All those knives that have been confiscated and still that poor soldier was attacked and beheaded in broad daylight on an open street. Those anti-knife laws and all of those cameras couldn't do a single thing to stop that tragedy. :( The point personified the blades used were a butchers clever and ...

The lil matriach would cut the wire your talking of great without worrying about the thin blade as it'd be the recurve you cut with . The Salt range are great for what they were designed for but unless your in a wet salt water environment there's better . The Endura is great but FFG and thinner alth...

I feel like a hack even posting this in present company but it is what it is. In my defense this was the first time I've ever worked with wood period, and basically used only a Dremel and hand tools. It feels great in the hand it just isn't so pretty. I actually finished it months ago and ended up ...

A white FRN lil matriarch would rule! And could be swapped out for the Delica too ;) but a M2 wouldn't be bad either :D it'd also give the option of Rit dying the scales more scope . As I'd imagine the white would take in most colours great , also if you could mask up some tape. Apply the Dye you c...

I really love how they can take two statistics and apply them together to make it look like they are directly linked. They can take a cake and tell you its a pizza if its sensationalised enough anybody see the news report on Swiss Army knives by the daily mail . There's a thread on bb on it only if...

This isn't a new knife law banning any type of knife . I'm in the uk the latest crap we have had to deal with is Royal Mail banning posting of weapons . Now since its illegal to own a knife advertised as a weapon its a rhetorical issue you can buy a weapon but only if its sold as utility (crazy I kn...

How can someone get an Endura with white FRN like that? Buying from a classifieds or in the USA ebay we guys in the uk have had that liberty taken from us because of stabbings . Despite 98% being done with kitchen knives :( I love the look of white frn I don't care if it gets dirty . Bring back whi...

Hi Sal the hollow ground works much better on a design like this IMO in practicality as well as aesthetics . FFG is great for slicing where you have the length but on a trail point with no real straight blade its a bit redundant . (Here's me giving you advice lol) but that's my requests I'd ditch th...

Ahh I don't mind using the designated users but the collection pieces well OCD and scratches don't go well  . I tend to find though the better the steel 'maybe stating the obvious' the less the scratch shows. Some reflections of light show 8CR13MOV is a user it scratches too easy not to be , VG...

I think the idea was that since a slash is in a radius, that a trailing point would keep presenting an edge to the material. This is the intentional effect when in context with the self defense/weaponry pou. As from a battle (historical) formation the radius would arc down continuing to keep the tip...

It makes it a very good slasher as well as Penetration. At least when talking Persian style blades....they are very effective at such, specially when the bad guy sometimes has Kevlar. That said I'm aware the Chinook is not exactly a Persian style knife. But it seems close. SO in theory should prefo...

You'll enjoy it! There is this new invention you might have heard of, it's called fire . :D :D Actually since my central heat-a/c went out, my house gets pretty cold in the winter too. Did your rust spots form because moisture condensed on the blades due to the cold, or do you mean the cold t...

I like the feel of the Izula-II with micarta scales about the best. The blade shape on the Candiru looks great, but I haven't gotten to handle one yet. There's something about the quality you feel when you pick up one of the ESEEs, it's like the quality you feel when you pick up a Spyderco (I don't...
