Re: Change my mind: the Shaman costs too much
Naturally, we listen and we try to please. Eric has plans for an FRN scale for the Shaman. I've designed two follow up models; 1) a gutted version fr lighter weight and the other has no finger choil. sal What does the gutted version entail? Very interested in seeing both! I would imagine linerless....

Re: Astute First Impressions
Love the Astute! I thought the Caly 3.5 couldn't be touched. The Astute 100% competes. Dream specs: Scaled up to 3.5" blade Full height hollow on 14c28n or similar steel Construction similar to Gayle Bradley GB1/2 Full RoundHole access from either side Standard clip w/ through lanyard hole

Re: Sgain Dubh poll
Will Spyderco ever do an Irish ethnic knife? I was thinking of something more like the sgian dubh (although that'd be Scottish). A Seax style knife would be interesting as well. Pitched this back in 2017! Glad to see some interest brewing. I would love to see a small fixed blade 3-3.25 inch blade a...

Re: Sage 5 Lightweight Frenzy
The chaparral is the best sage model. Change my mind. It's a Chaparral, not a Sage I do agree that the Chaparral has the same general shape but it would have to grow a little to actually be a Sage model. Y’all aren’t changing my mind. :D If spyderco called the chaparral the Sage 7 no one would blin...

Urban Lightweight - does 95% of everything I need. Simple, lightweight, robust and discreet...looking forward to different steels like the Damasteel variant.

Re: Manix 2 LW needs an update badly.
1) I love the Manix 2 LW platform. It finds its way into my pocket more often than not. 2) A hybrid of the M2LW and Rockjumper would be a phenomenal design. M2LW + screw construction + more contoured handles FTW. That said I have pin construction with carbon steel (super blue Caly 3.5) and disassemb...

Re: Interest in Front Flipper by Spyderco?
+1 for a production front flipper. Seems like the upcoming high hollow ground choil-less Shaman would be an excellent candidate. :D
The Shaman can be deployed like a front flipper if you get the angles right.

Re: Sage 5 / LW5 Rex45 ?????????????
I'd really like to see this become a reality ... I suspect it would be a sprint and I'd be interested in one in G10 and another in FRN. Can they do burnt orange carbon fiber? Lava Fat Carbon - https://www.gpknives.com/media/catalog/product/cache/a814c5e59b116971d7c5140c4d75fcfc/f/l/fl02-fcltd_2.jpg

HAP5R, which is similar to Cruwear would also be interesting - maybe in monometal blades, if it’s available?

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper
Sal - I never would have believed the RockJumper would bump the exquisite Caly 3.5 out of my #1 spot. I was looking forward to checking it out as I am a big fan of both Wharncliffe blades and FRN. I can already say that I am blown away by this design. My belief is that once more people get it in han...

Re: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK - HANDLE OPTIONS
Ivory G10 or Micarta would be my choice but polished. Ergos are good enough for a secure grip on this slipit, so I think the polished look is more fitting for the Damasteel blade. Also, should be easier to maintain/clean and keeps cost down vs Ti or CF.
