UKPK has been getting some heavy-hitter steels over the years: S110V, LC200N, Magnacut and now SPY27. Hoping the trend continues -- it's a great little knife!
Looking forward to this one.

Really great reveal. Definitely in for the LeafJumper (K390) and the UKPK (SPY27). The Tenacious (M4) and MicroJimbo could potentially tempt me as well.

Re: Larrin's New Knife Steel Book!
Got my softcover copy today from Amazon, but unfortunately it arrived dusty and dirty, and about 30 pages are folded over -- Amazon shipped it in a box that could have fit 10 copies of the book. With that being said, they're shipping a no-questions-asked replacement. Looking forward to reading this ...

Re: What Knife would benefit from a button release.
This is just my opinion, but I feel that button-locks are a fad that will slowly start to die down as the market gets over-saturated and the next "hot" thing comes out (I predict something involving magnets, like the Winter Blade Co. Factor) In my opinion, the same thing happened with cros...

Re: A separate brand for Titanium knives from Spyderco ?
In my opinion, the diverse product line up is one of, if not Spydercos' biggest strength.
I don't think segmenting it any further than Byrd/Spyderco makes much sense, and I don't see Spyderco entering the "eye appeal" market.

Re: What do we know about ZT Anso 0230
So, I got mine in today on loan today, and I figured I'd give some thoughts on it: Before anyone says "that's not enough time to evaluate a knife", please read my review and you'll understand why I felt confident in my assessment in such a short amount of time. For the purposes of this rev...

Re: NASA James Webb Space Telescope First Images
In addition to the sheer beauty of these images, for me, the most profound thing is that we are effectively looking back in time. We are looking back in time at something that may no longer even exist. We are looking back at something more powerful than any of us can comprehend, over a time line tha...

Re: What do we know about ZT Anso 0230
I've got one coming in a week or so on loan from a friend. I'll report back on it once I get it in. To be honest, I'm a bit concerned about the use of a double detent system instead of a back-spring, particularly on a production knife. I handled a custom Monte Carlo at Ansos' table at the New York C...

Re: Chaparral
I would love to see a real CF Chaparral, and marbled and dark matter look great! I would also love to see Side/Cross Cut CF in the Chaparral. Did a quick mockup in Photoshop -- honestly looks the cross-cut CF is very clean and classy and would fit the ethos of the knife: a gentlemans knife for show...

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco
The timing couldn't be better. With the ridiculous, outrageous costs of disposable razors and other shaving gear I've really been considering going full stride with a straight razor setup. I'm sure Mr. Glesser could put out a product that could compete heavily with any of the newer straight razors ...

Re: K390 in the Spyderco Byte; a compliment and two requests
I'm hoping more factories beside Seki will get K390. A Native and/or Manix and K390 would be marriages made in heaven.
With that being said, I'm particularly looking forward to the LeafJumper in K390 if that happens.

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
Cool!!! How are you liking the scales? I specifically love them for the weight reduction (about 30% over the G10) and the modified ergonomics (lack of belly) work a bit better for my somewhat smaller hands (Size M gloves). I also like the added chamferring compared to the stock G10 version. They ar...

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
That is a beautiful knife! Quick question: It looks like it has scales, but you state you are using AWT Agent Linerless Scales. What gives? Is that a trick of the lighting? again, That knife looks amazing!!! Thanks! I'm not sure how it that happened, but definitely a lighting trick as they are line...

Re: Paramilitary or Manix
I'm in the Manix camp. I vastly prefer the CBBL to the comp lock. I've often skipped knives that otherwise looked perfect because they had a comp lock. The Manix ergonomics are also better for me than the PM2, but honestly the lock is the main thing. Took the words right out of my mouth. I've owned...

Re: Spyderco Collaborators You Would Love to See Again?
Still hopeful we see a Slysz Rat in Spyderco form someday. The Mouse3 flipper looks great too. https://i.imgur.com/bEo9MIO.png I love the Rat, but not sure how the Spydiehole could fit without compromising the integrity of the blade. I think the blade would need to be taller so it could fit within ...
