Thanks guys! I'd make a Halloween costume around these but, I just know that I would have an itch, forget that I turn my hands into knives and scratch.

I guess I need to learn how to make a knife :o

This ebay seller sells a lot of customized Spydercos. On some of his customized Crickets, he swaps out the VG-10 blade for a damascus blade. I guess then he sells the oem blades. That where I got sucked into the story.

I voted other because my primary knife is always clipped into the back pocket. I hate, hate, having a knife any larger than the Meerkat in the front pocket. It gets in my way when I bend front. Not sure how you guys do it.

Outside of the house she doesn't carry a knife :( Part of the reason is that she works in the schools. They need even hide the kitchen knives. Around the home, there are several: Nightstand: Mora Clipper and a little SE knife Sewing room: Urban Wharrie (I keep it razor sharp) Garden: Salt 1 SE Jim

Wow, I did a little whittling with the Mule 12 tonight. I don't think the level sharpness changed at all. Looks like a long wearing steel.

Thanks. So you kept a 90 degree angle between blade and grinder until to the line and then sharpened the resulting edge with an edge pro or other system? I'm asking because I plan on doing this soon. wvguy, It sounds like we are talking about too different things. The knife in question comes with t...

This modification is really straightforward. I used a straight edge to draw the shape I wanted. I used an 8” bench grinder to remove the material. Keeping the blade cool is important. I needed to constantly dunk the blade in a container of water and ground as slowly as I could. That’s about it. It’s...

Sounds like a plan. Let's hope there's a sale this year; you never can tell.

Seeing that the Para 2 is on your list, I can't vote for any of the other knives. I really like this blade.

Weight balance ... I do like that explanation. Obviously, I carry multiple knives for multiple purposes. For discussion, here are my current ideas for the multiple EDC knives: 1) Everyday use knife, in back pocket. Usually a 3 in. plain edge. Model varies. 2) A small serrated edge knife in the front...

I've seen the spring on a Byrd lockback break. Isn't the Kiwi slipit a Spyderco produce, hence under warranty?

Thanks Guys for the nice comments. Mr. Janich thanks for your approval, I hope you didn't mind me calling it a Yojimbo. I love my real Yojimbo, but it's too special to carry it everywhere or to use. Hence, the cheaper version :spyder: Also, I think the tip should last a long time as long as I don't ...

On the Bay, there are still a few out there. It's one of my favorite blades :spyder: But, I think it's no longer produced.
