Not sure why some are having issues. My FRN Chaparral is pretty much perfect.

My issue with the RN us unless you can buy it in person, you risk getting really nasty looking scales. I sold mine because the scales were so see-thru, it was horrible looking.

FRN Chaparral over the Delica, all day long.

Chaparral FRN, if you're actually going to use the knife.

I am so pleased the FRN Chaparral didn't have to go onto that list. I understand the feeling of waiting.

...and for me, the shorter thumb-ramp on all the Chaparrals make it such a more comfortable knife to carry.

Wow, this thread has wondered in all different directions, considering it started as only a "Hey, I'd like to see the FRN Chaparral available in different color FRN scales".

Not an exact quote, but the jist of the original post.

I can't imagine you'll see additional FRN colors for the Chaparral. The next iteration will more than likely be an entirety different scale material.

Isn't the 1st Chaparral peel-ply CF over G10?

My Chaparral will nicely cut apples all day long, but if you're looking for the best production folder to do this task, you will find nothing better than an Opinel #7 or #8 to handle an apple.

I'd love to better understand if it's a variation between units or just a preference difference between users.

Never liked his clip for the Delica. Too much of a PIA to install and the look of it has allot to be desired. He sells a bunch of them, so I'm obviously in the minority.

Those of you with chickens, do you leave the film/membrane on the egg, so refrigeration is not required or do you remove it?

With all due respect to Spyderco, nothing as ever carried more comfortably in my pocket than a 940.

Opinels are unmatched for slicing capabilities.

I'm just looking for the "closest" thing I can find in Maxamet or s110v. Why? I'd rather have a design that is exactly what I want in 8Cr13MoV than a design that isn't my favorite with the "best" steel. It's funny you say that. So many times I shake my head at people that pass u...
