I really like the idea of a cork handle to have a knife that can float for kayaking. I lost a couple expensive knives kayaking. It won’t need an additional float.

Making this concept stainless and a kitchen knife will take away the “Cheap Machete” argument. I have some expensive short machete chef knives living in my kitchen

Has anyone tried using those paper wheels with compound to sharpen? That may be the bees knees for this. You can make your own using MDF if you dare.

I think using a dremel with diamond bits will work without heating up too much. I just dip in cool water if you feel getting too warm.
