Re: Urban/UKPK Wharncliffe

I’m in. The Urban wharnie looks awesome. I’ve got it in AEB-L, a wharnie version with the same steel would be great. I really like those! Wish they’d become a regular item. I wonder how a UKPK wharnie would do?

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

I used my Millie to take a chunk out of the wood floor in my kitchen yesterday... after opening a box containing my new vintage #3 Favorite Piqua skillet. I fumbled the knife while closing one handed... :( knife seems fine.

Re: Spyderco Military and Paramilitary 2 upcoming sprints and exclusives

My first spyderco was a Military Rex 45. I love it. It’s made me obsessed with spydercos 🤣 Also have a K390 paramilitary, but man do I loVe that rex45 Millie. I’ve really been looking for another Millie maybe in cruwear or if I ever get a chance to pick up a second rex45 would do that in a heartbea...

Re: They're everywhere!

M4 was my intro to “exotic” steels, and I still have much more time with it than either K390 or REX45. I sharpen on ceramic rods/stones, though I reprofile on CBN rods. Order of difficulty in my limited experience sharpening all 3 is M4 -> REX45 -> K390. K390 edge holding is better than either of th...

Re: Permanent damage that you've actually done to a knife?

You know I saw the comment about "if you have the right tool for the job, you'll never break it". That is entirely true and some genuine wisdom for sure. Words well spoken. Someone else once said that experience is proportional to the amount of ruined equipment you have left behind. This ...
