Re: A New Thread For Axes, Hatchets, Hawks & Other Striking Tools
Dang, I love that. Kind of reminds me of the TrackerDan/Winkler/RMJ mini tomahawk designs...of course theirs are "tacticool" and totally impractical, but yours looks like it would work quite well for its intended purpose. Love it.

Re: Sneaky Sneak from Eric at Shot Show
I am really excited for that M2LW 15V! I'm going to have to be johnny on the spot when that one drops. The Sage 5 in Rex 121 is also killer, but I might wait for a different Golden model to try to nab that...also why the ugly Burnt Orange again? :blech:

Re: gray G-10 CPM-Cruwear... delica?
I love the Delica, but I already have an FRN cruwear Delica, and FRN is better than G10, so I’m not sure if I would bite. Maybe just to have a g10 Delica? Idk, but I haven’t bought the Stretch 2 XL in this configuration yet, and I can say with absolute certainty that if they make an FRN version of t...

Re: Why don't you Baton?
To baton risks breakage and edge damage. Certainly you will rapidly dull the edge , I would say that this doesn't match my experience at all. If the log I baton through has a pile of dirt on the end, and if I don't brush it off beforehand, then I could see the edge taking some damage or dulling; ho...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
The Delica 4 is my favorite knife. Great ergos, great geometry, great handle material, great blade steel offerings, great colorways. I have 2-3 of each variant I've bought - mostly sprints. I like to give them away to friends and family. My all time favorite was the SuperBlue Delica 4. I gave that o...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I have the CF/Magnacut Benchmade TaggedOut in pocket a lot lately. I'm not crazy about stainless, but the geometry on that thing is insane. I'm going to have to pick up the original in cpm-154, and the s45vn sprint if I can find it to test. Too bad the s45vn has thumbstuds (ugh!)

Re: I don't give a #@$! about stainless
I guess I'm just a tool :winking-tongue, because I don't value corrosion resistance in my steel preferences at all, but that's because I enjoy a good patina (to help cover up the scratches from my shaky hand sharpening). However, I do value the innovation which is driven by the need for improving co...

Re: Street Beat Discussion
We already have one of the Seki makers that is producing a K390 fixed blade (the Enuff 2, and it’s awesome!!). I think a Street Beat LW in K390 is the logical choice for the next enhancement of the model. It’s also probably the only one that has any chance of being produced. I recently picked up a ...

I agree. I have richlite scales on one of my Bradford Guardians, and I think it feels like semi-polished paper micarta. Oh wow. Would you mind posting up a pic? That sounds fantastic The number of times I've promised to take a picture of one of my knives for you , specifically, and failed to delive...

Re: Ok, could it be that LC200N fares better against Magnacut than some might think?
I don’t give one whit about corrosion resistance, but I can still appreciate what other great characteristics these steels possess. With that in mind, does one of them have the ability to be heat treated to a much higher Rc hardness? Does either one have an advantage in strength at high hardness? I’...

Re: Vantablack Spydercos
Spyderco is doing tests with new types off coatings so who knows they can go darker black in the future. It doesn't get any blacker than vantablack. It absorbs more than 99.9% of visible light. :cheap-sunglasses https://media.hswstatic.com/eyJidWNrZXQiOiJjb250ZW50Lmhzd3N0YXRpYy5jb20iLCJrZXkiOiJnaWZ...

Re: Vantablack Spydercos
I’d like to see Spyderco use Black 4.0 - if it’s really as fragile as vantablack is, perhaps it could be used as a base color with a clear polycarbonate or resin coating…or gorilla glass or whatever Apple put in their older flagship iPhones that was durable enough to be the entire back side of the p...

Re: Vantablack Spydercos
I’ve always heard that the creator of Vantablack licensed its use exclusively to one guy for artistic purposes, so no one else can even use it. Then, another artist created “Black 2.0” to compete for it and licensed its use to anyone other than that other artist. That’s about the extent of what I kn...

Re: SNK Manix 2 LW is coming!!!
I fully intended to buy this one, but I was busy doing something at work and forgot to buy it. It stinks that I missed it, but the White FRCP/Satin Rex45 Manix 2 LW GPKnives exclusive dropping soon will make up for it. I have some of the other 4V exclusives of SNK's, and they're great, but I almost ...
