Re: Replace or fix? A bad grind question.

If the primary grind is uneven though, making it even on the secondary bevel will offcenter the edge What would be the options if that is the case? And what would be the best way to check for this? You could have the primary grind reground. There will always be a little difference on a production k...

Re: Replace or fix? A bad grind question.

If the pe is anything like the pe section on the se model, I understand your concern. I had to remove a lot of steel to get the pe section usable. If I had to guess, it had at least a high 20 degree angle and I took it down to 15.

If I were you, I’d just reset the bevel.

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2

I’m really looking forward to this one. Very interesting image comparison. Can’t wait to start playing with it. I hope they make enough so it’s not too hard to get ahold of.

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2

He does that with VG10 too though. Not to compare the two steels but more to make a point of how good he specifically is at sharpening. I would venture to guess that most people who get this knife won’t be able to bring it to that level of sharpness. (myself included) That's what makes it so cool, ...

I’m usually carrying larger knives but I’m curious how the microjimbo and lil native wharncliffe compare.

They’ll have different locking mechanisms and blade shapes with blade lengths in the 2.5” range.
I thought they were both comp locks?

Just ordered a pe endura and se Delica in k390 from KSF.

It’s interesting to see the price differences between se and pe and wharnie and leaf.

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!

I think you are right Dan. I can only imagine these will sell fast until the newness wears off. They would be leaving money on the table to sell them at a discount out the gate if they got mixed up in these Black Friday deals. If true, that’s a shame. If dealers and Spyderco want to move some produ...

Yes!

More competition and occasional better than average deals is a good thing.

Re: Black Friday Deals

So I guess here's my question: anyone seen a Stretch 2 XL in Cruwear/G10 at any of the vendors with 20%(+) off? I've only seen them available at one place so far. Though you might get lucky if the sales last through the weekend. I’m looking for this one too. If anyone finds it before I do please po...

Re: Siren - strange lock movement

I like my first run knife I immediately ordered a second one. So I have 2 that potentially have the “issue” but I think I only noticed it once or twice before this post was started. I don’t feel it’s a safety issue so I haven’t sent either one in. I like the model and don’t see how the lock bar popp...

Re: 2023 Official Discontinued List

I just ordered another aqua salt. I’ll have to dig up vivi’s pe h1 sharpening thread. It’s a shame to see a staple hard use fixed blade get the axe.

How is the handle texture on this one? Is it just as aggressive as the G10 Siren?

Curious how this compares against the lil native wharncliffe. I want a small wharncliffe with compression lock. Wonder how long until both models are out?

Re: Keep or Return? Manix 2 G10 S30V

I’d keep it. When it’s time for the first sharpening just reprofile it. A lot of 5he time the knife feels more “mine” after I’ve spent some time reprofiling it.

I’m still really enjoying my SE. it’s been the only thing I’ve carried since I received it short of a few days while I was out of town because some clip screws were coming loose. Very happy with the quality of the fit and finish.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I’d like to thank JD again for sparking life into this project. Now that I’ve been carrying this model for a couple weeks I can fully appreciate the qualities that make this one unique. The negative blade angle makes certain cutting tasks a lot easier and the handle is like an improved endura 4 hand...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Has anyone sharpened the SE yet? Im still on the fence of returning it. My sharpening skills are not good and Im wondering how this edge will look after being sharpened a few times. The two small teeth near the tip are pretty much non existent on the flat side. The start of the PE sticks out way pa...
