Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale 2018!
I decided to skip camping out this year due to weather and got to the SFO on Saturday afternoon at 2 and by 3 I was in the showroom and sorting through knives. I was very pleased with the selection available that late in the afternoon! I was able to find plenty of goodies and even had to reluctantly...

Re: A copper spyderco
I love that Schempp Bowie, the classic look of the copper bolster with the modern carbon fiber scales was a really nice touch. I'm also a big fan of the negative blade angle.

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale 2018!
We're getting closer and closer everyone! I'll be there late Friday night to hang out in line with everyone. Question for the group - Do we know what each color on the price tags represent? I know they use different colors, but I haven't been to figure out their meaning. Looking through pictures of ...

Re: Really bad cut.
IMO it’s more about the risk of infection than anything. Did you clean the wound before applying superglue? How clean do you think your hand was and the knife blade was when you were cut? When using superglue to seal a wound you run the risk of glueing in bacteria and that infects the wound. We’re n...

I've got a Victorinox Recruit floating around somewhere, luckily it's on the affordable side of things if it never shows up again.

Re: 9/11: Never Forget
I was a senior in high school, sitting in environmental science class when I found out about the first plane hitting. No one really knew what was going on, we all thought it was some private plane that must have hit. I lived in Jersey at the time, around 50 miles from Manhattan and kids I went to hi...

Re: Buying from walmart
You are good to go if you're buying from a brick and mortar Walmart, just make sure the knife is sealed in the blister pack to avoid someone returning a fake and keeping the real one.

Re: What is your favorite/most used lock type?
I voted back/mid lock and compression lock. I used to be all about the compression lock until I had a Yo2 swing open when I was carrying it inside the waist band. Yikes! It poked a hole in my underwear, but lucky for me that was the only damage that was caused. I've thought about how the blade came ...

I'm in!
My coworker has been looking for a good filet knife and this would be a great way to pay it forward.

I'm in. My hero's would be both of my Grandfathers who served during WWII. My maternal Grandfather service in the Pacific and my paternal Grandfather fought in northern Africa. Both men never talked much about the war and being so young I never knew what to ask or how to ask it. I've heard stories f...

I know Eric mentioned variations of the ClipiTool. I'm hoping for a bushcraft version with a saw and an awl for the two tools. Basically, a bigger version of the Swiss Bianco bushcrafter.

Re: Can I legally carry my Spyderco Military in Colorado?
Colorado recognizes your permit to carry a concealed handgun. I would assume then that your Military could be considered a concealed weapon, and thereby be recognized under your permit. Concealed carry is for a pistol only and does not cover a knife in Colorado. There is a 3.5" blade limit res...

Photobucket Embed Image Fix
I've been wanting to mod a Victorinox Farmer into a Bushcrafter and while reading up on the Multi Tool forum I found a thread discussing a fix for Photobucket images not displaying in tutorials. Basically, someone made a Chrome extension to show the Photobucket images. https://chrome.google.com/webs...

Uke seemed to have addressed this in his Cara Cara 2 review. Looking at his photo and yours I'd say it's probably normal. http://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=76936 Any other noticeable difference with this FRN to the main Spyderco line? Well inside the handle the finish is a bit...

Re: Spyderco Factory Outlet Seconds Sale 2017
I took a page out of EDC Honeybee's playbook this year and went with damaged knives. I got a Delica Clipit with a broken tip and beat up blade for $5 and bought 3 more combo edge Delica 4s for $20/ea. All of the Delica 4s had very dull blades on them. I ground the blade down on the Delica Clipit and...
