Re: Sharpmaker enough for M4 or K390?
Want to answer directly to m4 in a hard use folder, the Gayle Bradley 2 is hard to beat. I’m sure it can handle anything you throw at it. 2nd'd My gb2's m4 is insanely good. I just gave it the tiniest touchup on the sharpmaker, like 4 or 5 passes max on the grey rods for the first time since gettin...

Re: Para 3 for large hands?
i agree with critiques i've seen of the para 3 that it's a smaller knife that feels bigger; vs, say, the pm2, which is a bigger knife that feels smaller. still, i like it for its niche - there aren't many equally robust 3" knives in its class out there. it sounds like that's what the op was loo...

Re: Power Lock
re: sal's question: a strong lockback designed for hard use is immediately attractive for an outdoor folder that could take the place of a fixed blade with less bulk, potentially less weight, and significantly easier portability/carryability. therefore the ideal knife for this lock as I picture it w...

Re: magnacut gb2 salt
I can't praise the GB2 enough; there is nothing about this knife less good, less reliable, less capable than the GB1 imo. On the other hand it looks and feels better in hand in large part because of the changes to the handle from 1 to 2, which are one of my favorite things about it. It's an incredib...

Z-Max: and/or/vs. 15V
The Z-Max mule was the first I got. I find this steel extraordinary. I'd choose it over any comparable ultra retention steel out there I've had a chance to use so far. I have yet to see it anywhere else, though I haven't dug very far. Is the limited use just a matter of high price/low availability? ...

Re: Please Tell Me About 15V
BBB - seeing the news about further models in 15v makes me inclined to think we may see others down the road as well. besides the two already announced, are there any models - or particular blade shapes - you personally think would be ideal showcases for this steel, or do these three aready offer it?

Re: Old spyderco boxes
I have said this over and over. There is no comparision, these are 100x better than the current ones. They're perfect, I wish they all came in these, I'd be happy to have held on to my boxes rather than mildly begrudging the clutter

Re: The Knife Joker Lil Native DLC Cruwear/ Dark Green g-10!!!
it will be almost impossible for me to not buy anything in this color combo. cruwear is a favorite steel but i have that and m4 in abundance, so i'm agnostic on whatever steel for future releases. but the green is seriously perfect. as with my cruwear para 3, this is the sharpest knife from the fact...

Re: Help with new Dragonfly
If you can find one, the OD green/TiCN Cruwear Dragonfly is my favorite. I got lucky and picked one up for cheap on Reddit knife swap, and immediately decided it would be my forever Dragonfly. For extra points here it is in a family photo with some of my other green Spydies :) https://i.imgur.com/L...

Re: Spyder Co SharpMaker - What am I not getting?
Something I just recently realized I was doing, every time I sharpen on the flats of the stone I'm not hitting the edge directly on the flat, I'm always angled one way or another so that I'm hitting more of the corner of the flat, so I'm essentially still on the corners. I've noticed much better ed...

Re: Have you found "the one?"
there are minor things i'd change about the wolfspyder, but it would be the last one i'd give up. it does everything i want it to well, has yet to fail at anything i've thrown at it, is rock solid, easy to carry, looks fantastic, a great color (tho the knife joker lil native may have an edge on shad...

Re: Black Friday Deals
Ok, sorry for the semi-on topic question, but I don't know where better to ask: if you got a new, let's say dragonfly this weekend, and after taking it from its bubble wrap in its box found it had some kind of lint stuck all over the blade oil, and in the backlock itself, would this be reason to won...
