Re: Payson= PAY:SON

Having handled a prototype, I'm quite excited about this one. If the production build quality matches the prototype, this will meet (or exceed) the offerings from other companies at similar price points. "A knife should not cost more than X" is an argument you can make, although it's your personal o...

Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?

The thicker blade is the main distinction. But I think between the Para3LW and the FRN Chapparal, we now have specialists to either side of the Delica, one for harder work, one for slicing. But I suspect for many, particularly who desire USA-made and enjoy sprints, the P3LW will be a really compelli...

Re: Thinking about the Shaman

I get that manufacturing capacity is a thing, but it's amazing to me that we've not had a single Shaman sprint yet. M4. PLEASE M4.

Re: price increase?!

Will there be any specific targeted price increases or decreases (e.g. the Shaman getting more expensive in 2018 beyond the MAP and other price hikes affecting all models)? Or is this affecting all models equally and in the same direction? Also, will previously announced models (e.g. the Paysan, Dru...

The Slysz Bowie. Only been a year but it deserves a rewind.
Maybe with M390/204P/S90V and a nice carbon fiber backspacer? Please, PLEASE. Cash in on the silly prices they're going for on the secondary market.

Also, Shaman.

Re: Your Delica 5

Wire clip, jimped finger choil, S35VN or LC200N, metal pin in the FRN that holds the backspacer's lower tongue in position (for ease of disassembly), made in the USA or Taichung (for value and f&f).

Re: The Spyderrazor

I would absolutely pick up a Spyderrazor, either with conventional scales or in fixed-blade Kamisori style (particularly if that opened it up to easier sprints). Maybe I'm overestimating what modern metallurgy can do for straight razors, but as a guy with some pretty aggressive facial hair who tends...

Re: What upcoming Spydercos are you looking forward to the most?

Paysan and Techno 2, now that the Brouwer is out. Also, the Slysz Swayback, if that ever winds up existing. Will we be seeing a Brouwer review soon? Or, does it not meet the Gem Hunter status? Absolutely we will. I handled one of the protos back when, and I think it might have the potential to be t...

This would be *great*. Gayle Bradley blade shapes with a 3" length is a 'yes', particularly in M4.

Re: Finally picked up a Goldenstone

Sometimes I get the sense that I'm the only one who rarely puts my Sharpmaker "away" all closed up when I'm not using it. It stays on the side of my desk ready to go. If only I had the space to dedicate a table to sharpening. Sharpmaker, KME, some strops. Ooh, that'd be nice. Alas. Maybe someday.

Re: Finally picked up a Goldenstone

I've had one (sent from Spyderco, full disclosure) for a few months. It's taken me a while to 'get my head around it', but I've actually come to really like it. I absolutely wouldn't want to reprofile a fully dull knife on it, but it's the first thing I find myself reaching for when something's "jus...

Re: Avoiding a counterfeit: Which is a better place to buy Spyderco from?

Is there a particular reason you need to use eBay? There are good sellers there, but why not support a local knife shop, or failing that, a dedicated online knife store which plays a positive role in the knife community? And there, you can be sure it's legit.

Hi Nick, So I guess you would have no problem with someone posting you tube knife review videos using the name Nick Shabazz and imitating hour style? Now that you have created a good reputation? And just because you think the round hole is better, doesn't mean all of the others claiming superior sh...
