The baldor buffer is probably the best you can get. Mine is 1/3 hp 3600 rpm. Mine was free but the going price is in the 300 dollar range. I believe the original mairner had flat scales without the vent. Than the new improved one is where they added beveled edges and the vent, little things but a good improvement.
