Re: Best Bathing Suit Blade/Shark-Go-Away Spydie?

Was thinkin' a more MINIMALIST option, so I can discreetly carry on the beach in a wet bathing suit. I'm weird like that. :)

Did not really know about the serious thickness of shark skin, thanks mtngunr.

Best Bathing Suit Blade/Shark-Go-Away Spydie?

Sure the odds firmly reside in the neighborhood of NEVER... but when I'm swimming in the ocean LATELY (read: visits to SC) I find myself thinking about shark attacks. I love sharks, by the way –– beautiful, stealth creatures. Still, I'd hate to meet one while swimming. And when I'm way deeper than t...

A Lefty Para 2 is a great idea! So many Spyderco fans are lefties, yet we find a way to adapt, usually. Of course the midlocks are a very viable option ... but it would be so sweet to have a true lefty option (again) from Spyderco. Yes, naysayers, the profit margin might not be huge for an admittedl...

Still in-the-works. Have no idea on price, haven't seen a proto yet. sal Thanks, Sal. Thought for sure if I caved for Chaparral 1 today, Bronze-beauty Chapparal 4 would be just a day or two away. If you haven't seen a prototype, I guess I'm pretty safe. :) Looking forward to its big reveal ... one ...

The bronze model is in-the-works. USA made bronze. USA made steel. sal I had hoped to see pics of the mythical Bronze Chaparral by now, or in all its glory in the mid-year supplement. "In-the-works" is a far cry from in-my-pocket. I give up (in the good way), getting Chaparral 1. Chap 2 i...

Consider it part of your continuing education into the obtuseness of those who are right handed. Specifically, their almost hard-wired inability to understand that, just because someone has the intelligence and adaptability to successfully operate a wrong handed implement does not mean they wish to...

You can choose to get bent out of shape and see where that gets you, but I can promise you nothing constructive will come from it. Ya got that right, Evil Dude. :) But....I still want a Lefty-specific Spyderco. :p And I still find it laughable (yet sad) when SOME Righties feel they're the self-appo...

Seems like a good way to deny yourself some of the best knives in the catalog out of spite. I'd sooner adapt with what nature gave me and move on. There are far worse things in life that people overcome everyday than being a lefty. Some people are clearly missing the point. We're talking about fold...

It's also very sheeple friendly. I'm not a south paw, but I'm ambidextrous enough that I wan write with my left hand neatly, if a tad slower than with my right. I'm a little surprised that Spyderco doesn't make a left handed version of the Techno...given that the backspacer would stay the same, and...
