Re: Bradley folder 2
This knife really reminds me of my Benchmade 710 - they are very similar in size and also in feel: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Oxqs2FZ7Ilzoe_BMnNZk21IK-zppYad2pR5B6CJQbMSFr5rSyukl81PLXF1TyixD-gIZhLcF1tTj0ORaH5NrKbY14remw8MnhQB6O5Wl1oz_051f_5lbteHlvonboZpSIdah61jxuDndG21znXn0-Xi_0p35_jodVTR2gyN...

Re: Gayle Bradley 2?? Talk me into it..
I think in order to decide between the GB1 and GB2 you really need to hold both knives. There are many differences in the size, shape and weight of each piece that will only become clear when handled. I just purchased a GB2 today after handling both models - the GB1 didn't fit my hand and I didn't l...

Re: Green Tenacious two-week military use report
Thanks for sharing! Don't know that reservists are allowed knives like Spidies. :D You're welcome! Actually the issue knife at the moment is one of the SOG multi tools, I'm not sure which one. I always like to carry both a knife and a multi-tool, or at least a mini prybar. Fortunately Leatherman ma...

Re: Green Tenacious two-week military use report
Enjoy your Tenacious ! I only wish they release a green Persistence also.Let's hope the next iteration will be released in a better steel. There are rumours about Sandwick being exported to China. I'm actually very satisfied with the 8Cr13Mov, as I know that a better steel would mean a more expensiv...

Re: Green Tenacious two-week military use report
Nice write up! Just curious, how do you carry it? Tip up or tip down? Which pocket(s)? etc? Thanks! I carry it tip up, front right pocket - same as you. The pockets on our uniform trousers are relatively small, but will fit a folding knife nicely. I carry a flashlight in my front left pocket and us...

Green Tenacious two-week military use report
Just completed two weeks of reservist training (in Singapore we do two years full time service and then get called up once a year or so) and decided to carry my green tenacious, mainly to match my uniform :D https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-rq9LgFP3rEM/Vj7RrBMCAgI/AAAAAAAAC5I/lOddzgKZdTY/s640-Ic42...

Re: CPM CRUWEAR vs. CTS-XHP Military - which one should I buy first?
How to fix Military blade centering issues: https://youtu.be/wU797Pkmq1Q" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Thanks for the tip - I tried it and it helped a little bit :) On this knife when I tighten the pivot screw fully the blade is perfectly centred so I'm not sure what's go...

Thanks for all the replies and good advice. The choice has been made: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PI0JK648JwY/VguDyT_7pcI/AAAAAAAAAMI/KP0XFHxytzc/s800-Ic42/DSCF1127.JPG Initial impressions were rather poor actually  When I first got the knife it was really stiff opening and the blade was...

CPM CRUWEAR vs. CTS-XHP Military - which one should I buy first?
Which of these two do you think I should get first? I do not currently own any other knives in these steels. I do own a normal S30V military, and I'd like to try out a new steel. Knife will be a user!

Wow, even a longer journey than mine! My exchange took two months from the time I sent the sheath off, let's see how long yours does :)

Re: Urban Lightweight now available!?
Urban owners, how is your knife's blade centering in the closed position? I just got one today and mine is quite noticeably off towards the show side of the knife. Not a big deal if they are all like that - I notice that my Spy-DK has the same issue, just not as much. Thanks.

Re: Tip down carry
Just as I became accustomed to the tip down and liner lock on my new Tenacious, my new Stretch arrived. It's tip up and lock back like my old Endura. What do you know. Why don't you just swap the clip on the Tenacious to the tip up position? That's what I do immediately on all my knives that come t...

Re: Neck Knives
How's the sheath on these, John? Do you have to be careful when re-sheathing to not scrape the edge on the inside? What about retention? I can see from the silver grommets that this is the same sheath maker as for the Enuff, which had teething issues.

Re: Here we go again (Manix 2 vs Cold Steel)
Cold Steel should stick to making knives and improving their designs. This type of advertising is unethical in my opinion, they should leave this type of "testing", to independent people. Could I please ask why you find it unethical? You feel that a company should not compare its own prod...

Re: Here we go again (Manix 2 vs Cold Steel)
Exactly - as Andrew Demko points out in other videos of this series, these tests have all been specifically requested by members of the public, and it is purely about comparing the physical strength of the knives using the same tests that Cold Steel use on their own models. They are not meant to sho...

Re: When to go clipless
I have removed the Clip on my Salt 1 because it rides in my bicycle saddle bag - this saves a tiny amount of weight but most importantly makes the knife really thin, important when trying to pack it alongside spare tubes, duct tape, tire levers, spare lights etc in a relatively tiny bag!

Re: Here we go again (Manix 2 vs Cold Steel)
I'm pretty sure that is not correct - when Demko talks about the 'quarter inch hole' that Spyderco 'supplied' he's referring to the lanyard tube, which is oversized on the Manix 2Wanimator wrote:Though it was done in good blood, Spyderco drilled their own hole on the knife for Cold Steel's testing rig.

Re: Tenacious Steel
The Crow 2 and Raven 2 are showing in stock now at a few online vendors. Priced at around $45 and $50, respectively. What's really strange is that in Singapore some dealers consider Spyderco and Byrd to be two separate brands - the shop that I normally patronise stocks Spyderco but not Byrd. I susp...

Re: Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight - surprised me (PICS)
Congratulations! From the pictures it seems as though your knife has the exact same off centre tip that mine does. Must have been ground by the same guy  I think the Native 5 Lite-weight is the best light weight lock-back we've ever made. Eric, Tom (Factory manager) and Doug (engineer) wor...
