The lanyard is removeable, the protruding eyelet is not. In theory you could grind it off, or make a new backspacer. Thanks for the response. I may have to try my hand at creating a backspacer when I pick this knife up. Or maybe I'll end up liking the lanyard more once I get my hands on it. Either ...

How long should a blade be and can i fly with the simplest Victorinox that i can find or i should keep it in the luggage. I'll probably have a small backpack and a bigger one with me. I don't know about Europe, but we can't even carry a metal nail file onto a plane in the US, much less a real knife...

Kristi, is there any way the max quantity can be changed to 2 or so? Even a limit of 2 knives at the discount price, with no limit on the full price ones would be an improvement. After seeing how fast the 300 USN knives went, I think it would help keep speculators from snatching all the forum knives...

I ran across this video last night. The guy made scales after gluing leather to a Mule. There are two other videos detailing the rest of the process. Interesting process, but I don't know if I'd use leather. First off, the edges of his knives look all ragged, as you can't really get the leather smo...

I bought the S90V Mule for the express purpose of building my own scales. I've never tried anything like this before, but thanks to the couple of Mule tutorials on the forum, I got my first one done. I made some blanks out of cheap wood to practice on, adjusting the ergonomics on each one. After fou...

Cosmic particles, traveling a terrific speed, bombard the earth all of the time. Some go right thru the earth without stopping. Should these interact with the edge of your knife wear, on the nano level, would occur over time. Keeping your collection in a depleted uranium safe, not sold at Costco, w...
