Re: Am I The Only Fan Here For The C-60 Ayoob Model?

I'd buy a sprint, if they can be had in Canada. Maybe its time for an Ayoob 2?

Re: So, let's chat about the Chinook

I bought one when they first came out, last September (2017). I liked it enough to buy a backup in January (2018), as the Iron Curtain against knife importation fell here in Canada. I thought the first one I bought was a nice knife, but the second one I have is even better. They are nice knives. The...

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

I'm still looking forward to this. I think a blurple version would make one heck of a folding knife. I'm still not sure how I am going to get one though. The Spyderco supply seems to be drying up here in Canada, and the prices for those left on this side of the border are sobering. Looks as though a...

Right on.

Now, how do I get one into Canada when they drop?
On foot?
I don't think I'll do it on foot. Where I'll have to conceal the thing I think even the shortest of walking trips will be unbearably painful.

Any former drug mules here? I need some advice.

Re: Canadian UKPK

If we do this, I want it to be huge. Like 4 ~ 4.5 inches of blade length. Not really for utility, but just because I want big honking knives streaming across the border.

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

I'm still hoping we see the Chief soon, even though there are a lot of Native's (Native 5, Shaman, Lil' Natives) on the market now. Four inch blade, with a Golden back lock, would be awesome. I keep looking for it when the catalog and supplement come out, as well as the Amsterdam meet pics. One day.

Warriors and Wonders got in a Spyderco shipment yesterday! I had to celebrate so I went and bought myself a Spyderhawk. Been waiting a long time to get my hands on one of these. https://i.imgur.com/E91lcom_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium Congrats LC! Does this mean the nonsen...

Re: Any new Millitaries coming down the pike in 2018?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

I want one in CPM 10V. Preferably with navy blue scales.

Not sure how I'll get it into Canada, but I want one.

Re: Spyderco Shaman News and Gossip Thread

I picked up a Shaman. Glad I did too. I have a "plain Jane" S30V stonewashed plain edge sample. It's a nice knife. Came very sharp. Looks and feels like the sort of thing that can do a lot of work over the years. Sprints are nice, but honestly, in practice I usually carry S30V, while the s...

Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

Calling all Canadians!!!!!! Below is a link to an actual petition created by a conservative member of parliament. If it gets to 500 signatures it will be discussed in the House of Commons which could lead to the recent CBSA ruling being reversed. Currently this is our best chance at a reversal. So ...

Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

Well, I'm glad I went ahead and got my backup Chinook 4 in January.

It's looking unlikely that I will score a Shabaria sprint though, which is a bummer.

Why can't we have nice things?

Re: CBSA going after flipper type opening

Just purchased a backup Chinook 4, from a Canuck dealer. I would have waited, but with everything going on I didn't want to chance the wait and end up without one. Maybe I should bury my spares. I feel like a rebel. I'd still like to chance the border, just to see what happens, but not with a knife ...

Re: CBSA going after flipper type opening

Maybe all us Canadians should just start carrying 6+ inch fixed blades as our EDCs. When people freak out and ask why, I'll just say the powers that be decided my pocket knives were more dangerous. Finally an excuse to EDC my Spyderco Warrior everywhere..... I think this is where we'll all end up g...

Re: CBSA going after flipper type opening

This reminds me of sals Canada knife thread. We are gonna need a knife that can only be opened with two hands, without a Spyder hole, doesn’t lock, has a timed delay where you have to wait five minutes before you can open it... Don't forget the fingerprint identification sensors, and of course the ...

Thanks. If it's teflon I may try to get some bronze to replace them.
I believe the current Opus runs on teflon.
