Need help!

I am finally getting myself a Pac Salt after hearing so many glowing reviews here on the forum, but I cannot decide between getting the OG with the Endura 3 handle, or the recently updated Pac Salt 2 with the newer Endura 4 handle. I have multiple Endura 4s, and find the handle comfortable, but I ha...

Re: Who of you buys only Spyderco, no other brand knives?

I have MAINLY Spydies, with three Benchmades mixed in, and lots of different traditional slipjoints as well. I would say that 70 to 75% of my collection is all Spyderco :D

Spotted in the wild. All the typical Delica appointments, but the edge grind on this one is very fine. It’s very slicey right out of the box.

Re: ZDP-189 - Overrated or Super Steel?

I have multiple Enduras in VG10 and a Dragonfly in ZDP. Both steels have their ups and downs. ZDP doesn’t have the BEST rust/stain resistance, and VG10 edge holding when cutting abrasive media can sometimes leave a little bit to be desired. That being said, I like both steels A LOT. VG10 sharpens li...

Re: Bladeswap on Delica 4

I have a set of custom scales on my wharnie Delica and they work flawlessly. I believe the only difference between the leaf and wharnie delicas (besides the blade obviously) is a slight change to the lockbar, and that only means that you need to swap the lockbar with the corresponding blade, but all...

Re: Manix 2 came with one skeletonized liner and one full liner

Sounds like a goof up from the factory to me. If there was a CQI it would have had BOTH liners skeletonized. If it doesn't bother you at all it I wouldn't worry about it, it wont affect anything function or performance wise.

Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines

Still on this bandwagon, still dream of a Chap XL that retains the 2mm stock thickness and handle thickness. It would be such an amazing lightweight folder in a slightly larger package (Like Wartstein said, PM2 or Endela size). I have mentioned this in the other thread, but the success of the Benchm...

Re: The Watu, the lil' Nilakka, and why thin grinds matter.

How does one measure a thin grind? Which Spydercos offer the thinnest grinds? Spyderco offers us the blade thickness on their website, but I see no information about blade grind. My favorite cardboard cutter is my Opinel No. 08, because the blade is so thin. Second to that is the Dragonfly, again b...

Re: Does S110V actually chip a lot or are people just not using their knives right?

The only time I chipped my S110v PM2 was cutting some threads wound around a HSS drill bit. Also, the factory edge on any production knife will be slightly more brittle/ prone to edge damage because of overheating from sharpening. After one or two sharpening sessions the edge will become a lot more ...

Thin grinds all the way! Especially when combined with thin blade stock a la Chaparral :D

For EDC tasks, thinner is always better
