Re: Knife Joker forest green para 3 LW

I have a soft spot for the Para3 LW even though the handle is too short for my hand and there is actually not reason for the blade to be quite as thick. Yet - all together it makes for a very enjoyable blade. Heck, I don't really even like the Para 3 though I love the LW platform. But Cru-Wear and ...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..

Tried using Dyemore apricot orange to do a fade to white but messed up. When I was dunking the scales the dye splashed on the white so at that point I just put them all the way in. Definitely mixed more dye then needed making it too dark. Not really what I was going for but it looks good. https://i...

Now there is a Byrd in my pocket!
Hello everyone, the Cara Cara is my second Byrd, after a Tern. Received it today and I am really happy with quality. It came perfect centered and yes, let's if we will be friends 😃
Love it. I picked up a Ti Cara Cara Saturday. What's not to like!!!!

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Wow! That is a great price. I have often conteplated on picking that one up. Contoured scales and a very thing blade. I know linerlocks put people off, but if you handled it in person before, you know it is very well made. The action is like butter! I love mine. National Knives has theirs offered a...

Re: 2023 Seconds sale! ..are you going?

Some nice scores I see. I couldn't get there til kinda late. The line was much longer than last year but I managed to get in and most of my shopping was confined to the atrium because the shop itself was still packed and I had to get out quick to make an appointment. I confined most of my buys to ra...

Yes, the crew there always does a great job. I like the raffles that were tossed in, great way to get everyone amped up. The discussions that are struck while waiting and while shopping are awesome.

I'm convinced ya'll aren't checking as hard as I am. I've never in my life handled an Endura with zero vertical movement, or even a legendary golden lock back. Any of my chiefs show vertical movement if I press the blade into a cutting board with medium force.
I won't argue that.

Re: Is the Endura still well loved in 2023?

The Endura is my favorite larger knife. I have two, and will likely get another one at some point. I like the Military and want to check out the new Millie 2, but the Endura is very pocketable for such a large knife and it is very capable. What about the vertical blade play people are complaining ?...

Re: Is the Endura still well loved in 2023?

I usually carry an Endela due to size limitations. But, I couldn't help myself Saturday when I came across this ZDP189 Endura for $37.00! Perfect for those locales where the 3.5" limit isn't enforced!

Re: What's your use for a Ladybug?

My ZDP LB is an almost EDC knife. It is super nice to have since I work in an office and busting out my PM2 "disturbs" people, so I sheepishly produce my LB whenever those easily offended are near. They are always surprised at how capable such a "cute" knife is. Whenever I am aro...

Re: New Dragonfly

Sorry, not a really a totally new blade shape... but I'd really like a wharnie (and SE for me) in H1/H2, and the pretty high sabre grind those steels offer in the DFly (apperantly higher than in other H1 Salts). I think an H2 wharnie SE Dfly could very well end up living permanently as a backup in ...

Three days a week I carry both a Byrd and a Spyderco. Even with gloves, the comet hole has never been an issue, no more difficult to operate than a Spyderco.

Anyone polish the Flag off of their Spy27 PM2?

Not that I want to on my PM 2 but I have another tool with similar markings that I'd like to remove the "engraving" from. Wondering how to best go about it? Thanks.
