Re: custom base for sharpmaker

watching this thread with interest - would be a great addition to have extra angles available - also why is there not a taller 'lid' for the SM that could also accomaodate extra rods if you buy the cbn/diamond and UF?

Re: What were the biggest changes to your EDC habits in 2018?

can i ask why the change to cruwear from m390? Lost my M390 with CF scales horsing around in a river. Currently sitting somewhere on the bottom of Arroyo Seco. It was my oldest PM2 - BBS exclusive with CF scales swapped from the 52100. So no reason really, other than loosing it. I have a few PM2s, ...

Re: The Spyderco "Tusk II"

id be allover this - hence i started the mentioned thread - i hate the FRN but it would probably be the most fit for purpose, i think the Ti gives it a very upmarket look and therefore would probably suit a few so maybe 2 versions- Deffo on the longer blade which would make a CE more feasable if not...

Re: Which Spyderco fits you?

Out of the box the PM2, however i recently bought some delica scales ( the lil para version) of Steve - Boomer 52, and man do they change the ergo's! considering i prefer the PM2 compared to the para3 and now these delica scales are even smaller - they just work!!

Re: What were the biggest changes to your EDC habits in 2018?

My EDC requirements stayed pretty constant. Had some minor changes in 'most used per category', - small - Naitve 5 M4 and Chaparral CF bumped the Mantra and Caly 3 HAP40 - medium - PM2s CRUWEAR replaced the PM2 M390 - large - Military Ti/CF S90V topped the Military 204P https://i.imgur.com/KZfn32d....

Tusk and SE

Apologies if this has been asked before but if the Tusk is a mariners knife then why is there no serrations offered?
The spydy edge is far superior to a PE for cutting ropes etc
Even a combo edge
Someone help me understand what I’m missing here?!

Thank you, that explains it well. Carbon Steel --> Tool Steel --> Stainless Steel.
This literally answers everything! thankyou for this and indeed the above post which this summary came from.

Ive often wondered why in this day and age we have to compromise on the desired parameters
