There are likely smaller ebay sellers who will ship to NY. Until there is some clarity in the law, I suspect that most large sellers won't mess with it for fear that other municipalities or etc., might jump on the band wagon to get cash-in-hand. Write your state congress-persons and senators. Both k...

It just seems fair to me. Maybe the net needed a boost a decade ago, but no longer. The great thing about sales tax is that it is a use tax, if you don't buy, you don't pay. Simple. It's time for main street to get a boost--between Wal-Mart and Amazon.com, local retailers have all but been put out o...

The warrior rocks. Impractical, but awesome.

Some other decent prices for great knives:

Streat Beat for $155--what a great knife.

And the P'kal for $135? Easily one of the greatest spyderco designs ever and my personal favorite design.

It's weird. Firearm manufacturers show off some new models that haven't yet hit production. Do they have stricter IP protection than knife companies? As a guess, I'd say it's more that: 1) it takes a heck of a lot more to tool up for gun manufacturing than knife making 2) Gun importing laws make it...

Why choose '91 as start date? Why not '97 when Hong Kong was returned, for example.

If you look at % change in per capita income, even starting at '91, looks like US at less than 100% increase (and falling fast) while in China is over 1000%.

I can't imagine it would be a problem. I've cut .25" micarta and G-10 on mine and even 3/16 brass. Cut a corner off and see what happens. I'd bet $25 that you won't hurt the saw (you can hold me to that, small comfort), though you could snap the blade.

Also couldn't hurt to send the light into 4sevens, they have terrific customer service--this is assuming that the batteries were within manufacturers specs. Failing that, battery station seems like a pretty decent company, they might also replace the light with something comparable. As an aside-- Th...
