Re: What’s next after getting the G-10 Tenacious?

How many fingers can comfortably grip the Lil’ Native? I’m love the idea of the compression lock on the Native but I’m worried the handle is too small for a four finger grip. Three fingers is too few! I can easily get all 4 fingers on the knife. It’s got a good, solid grip for its size. https://i.i...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

DLC manix XL incoming! As much as I loved the design of the regular manix 2, the handle really only allowed for one grip in my hands and was kind of uncomfortable for long periods of use. Also felt like it could have a bit more edge. Very excited to try it out.

Lil' Native? 2.5" blade should be legal in Chicago.
This right here. I too, live in the suburbs, but spend a good deal of time in Chicago, and bought a lil native for this very reason. Great edc even regardless of size, but fits the completely silly 2.5 inch blade limit in Chi town.

Re: The negative blade angle wharncliffe that I wish existed

Hey carpediem, I just want to say I think this is a great design. I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile, all the points you made are spot on. Most of my cuts are pull cuts as well and the sort of straight edged hawkbill concept is perfect. Maybe spyderco can implement something simila...

Does anyone happen to know if the new run will include the DLC variant?

I'd really like to grab one in DLC and do some nice scales for it.
Yep, River’s Edge is taking pre orders on the DLC variant now.

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2020

Siren. Love love love everything about it. Didn’t even want one when they came out, but it quickly became the most carried this year. Honorable mention to the Watu, which I loved the design of from the beginning, but wasn’t completely sold on it when I got it. I’ve warmed up to it quite a bit now, a...

Re: End of 2020 Opinions on VG-10

I like vg10. It’s the best rounded basic steel around. For the price I don’t think it can be beat. I actually like the edge I get on the vg10 more than s30v. To add another twist to the conversation: How about thoughts on VG-MAX? My understanding is it's basically vg-10 with more chromium and vanadi...

Re: Blades slightly above legal limit

I take the Ron Swanson "I do what I want" approach. https://i.imgur.com/U7ds520.png I respect that people want to be legally safe, but in general I just carry what I want to. Just be discreet and and don’t call attention to yourself and you’ll be fine. Btw knifebro, siren is an awesome kn...

My first order of seconds...two Millies. Thanks for the quick shipping!
Glad to hear they’ve already started shipping! I thought for sure it would take a bit longer than usual given the number of orders they must’ve had.

Re: Spyderco Standard Clip vs. Lynch vs. MXG Gear

I actually love the regular spyderco clip and don’t really like deep carry. That said, the para 3 sticks up a bit too much for comfort. I use the long straight MXG clip on my para 3s and don’t it works great. The retention is just as much as a regular clip and it carried a bit deeper, not completely...

Re: Which seconds sale knife are you most excited about?

Yep, I’m very excited to try the K390 police as well. I bought a k390 delica when it dropped, as I had never owned a delica and thought it deserved a shot, and I also wanted to try the steel. Delica is a perfectly fine knife, but a little small in the hand for me. The K390 seemed like great stuff th...

Re: Poll: How do you carry your Spyderco Dragonfly?

I have a hawkbill salt fly. Mine is usually clipped on the outside of my inner pocket of my coat, as a second knife. Otherwise it’s IWB on my athletic shorts. Perfect size and weight for running and activities like that.

I love the rockjumper so far, and the endura is still my favorite knife, so I’d definitely grab an endura sized rockjumper. Sounds perfect to me.

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS

Well I applaud spyderco for going thru with this. Must have been a massive undertaking, and all things considered I feel it went pretty well. Personally I would never have a chance at the in person event, so I’m elated I was able to snag the k390 police for 95 bucks. I wanted more but hey, far bette...

Re: Seconds Sale, what are you hoping to snag?

Though I am almost positive my priorities will change as I see things pop up on the site, I’d like to get a Schempp Bowie, a Canis, and/or a Military. Maybe a PM2. Definitely also keeping an eye out for certain steels, namely K390, super blue, and 51200. Maybe a good chance to grab a GB2. And some z...
