Re: Street Steel Book Review

If you want to read some interesting books on weapons fights and what happens when a weapon is employed read the series of Kindle books(4) by Marc MacYoung on "Writing Violence." He also has 2 other texts on hand to hand combat, "Knives, Knife fighting and related hassles" and &q...

I like the cut of the blade and the profile on the Chinook 1. Neat knife.

Re: Good Jeans

As I said on another forum, I collect all sorts of material to read, but I rarely sit down and read any of it. I have lots of manifestos, pdf's, books, txt documents, kindle books, I try and collect everything because there is so much censorship!!! Of course, nobody can collect everything, but I'm j...

Re: Good Jeans

I stopped wearing jeans many years ago. I prefer to wear cargo pants, and I haven't been able to find cargo jeans. The cargo pants I prefer are Wrangler ripstop. I bought a bunch of pairs years ago that are in great shape and that I'm still wearing. Hopefully they're still being made. If I find bet...

Re: Good Jeans

I dropped Levis after 2 pair completely unraveled on me at the rear pocket seams and the company took a hard left. My 1st 2 pair of jeans after that were Carhartt jeans and I still have them. They are doing just fine. Wrangler Riggs - have leather on the front pocket for knife clips, which sounds in...

We're working on a new Chinook.

Can't wait to see it!

If it is anything like the photos that I've seen of previous models I like it already.

Re: Knife Laws are weird to me.

Probably 10,000 laws on the books in the 50 states for all sorts of 2nd Amendment weapons, and they are all infringing on the rights of US Citizens according to the US Constitution. You could look at all of those laws and say that the folks that swore to uphold the US Constitution lied when they too...

[+1] These were some rugged individuals. People "prep" now, and most of them have no clue. If we ever have WW III, and there is an EMP that takes out the electrical systems nationwide 95% will not survive 3 years because the old ways of surviving have long been forgotten. NOBODY would sur...

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

James is 100% correct. Everything he said jives with what I know about Defendu and Fairbairn. Fairbarin was called in to train the military and CIA.

Defendu is the real deal, and so is Fairbairn.

Re: If you could, would you go back in time?

I don't think I'd want to go back in time and meet my grandparents in the early 1900s. Well, maybe I wouldn't mind seeing my maternal grandparents. The only grandparent I ever knew was my maternal grandfather. By the time I was born, "grandma" was really my step-grandmother. I had a great...

Re: Spydercos you wish you could buy half a dozen of...

I'd buy more Spyderco S90V Native Chiefs. But there are M390 Native Chiefs available at Spyderco right now and when they are gone, they are long gone!!! These are fantastic knives. Naperville, you only use knives for self defence, right? Meaning you don’t use your knife for edc at all? Curious as t...

Re: If you could, would you go back in time?

I'd like to skip ahead 250, 500, and 1000 years to see if the Earth is still surviving and what they had accomplished. I'd also like to go back to 1900 to see what my grandparents had to endure and meet all of them. They had a rough life. My grandmother on my father's side is the only grandparent I...

Re: Pick One Spyderco for last knife.

Much as I love the Native 5 in all its flavors, the 20CV Endela from DLT would my choice for last knife because of its slightly longer blade. Think the Native is cool knife but needs more length. Native on steroids would be cool. I think Spyderco has some M390 Native Chiefs still in stock. I have 3...

Re: i might do the unthinkable

I'd sell them. Try the usual places: Spyderco Swap, AZCK, Blade Forums.

Sell them in 2 or 3 lots. Let the buyer decide what to do with them.
