First time I couldn't get the knife I wanted - the CRUWEAR micarta Shaman. I have not experienced that before. And I am a fan of srpints and exclusives. That was a turning point. Counterintuitively, it cured me of FOMO.

I gifted a Para 3 G10 LW to a friend, as well as a G10 version. He prefers the LW. He is in construction and uses it for small tasks throughout the day. The environment is rough on it. Generally, I am OK with the stock scales. I do wish they were more chamfered. It is actually pretty simple mod if you want to do that yourself with sandpaper and/or something like Dremel. I would recommend doing so with water to avoid creating G10 dust. I have some experience with aftermarket scales...

You can try removing the scales and coating the tang in something like frog lube, then install the scales. That should help with any corrosion under the scales. Something I should have done when I got the knife. Oh well. I was able to clean it up pretty good. Coated it mineral oil. I'll see what it...
