Re: Clip screw broke !HELP!
Maybe call Spyderco & run the situation by them, if your planning on sending it in. That way there's no surprises on either end.

Re: McBee Super-Deep Carry
Thanks everybody. For the lanyard i'm thinking a few snake knots, then a ti bead, then a crown knot. A length of paracord with a break-away barrel clasp makes it a nice dogtag/neck knife. The new clip lets it hang better on the paracord. I have not pocket carried it, except for testing it out. I'm g...

Re: Clip screw broke !HELP!
I would take the other 2 clip screws & the clip off, clamp the broken screw nub with some needle nose vice grips as hard as I could & keep my fingers crossed. If that fails, I would disassemble the knife & soak that one scale in ferric chloride to dissolve the broken screw. That would de...

McBee Super-Deep Carry
Continued from this thread: https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=82793 Before I begin, I would like to extend an apology for the quality of these photos. I used what I had access to & this is what I was able to come up with. Also, I wanted to get the information out to y'all A.S.A....

Re: Who wants a Spyderco "Sharpened Pry Bar"?
A Spyderco version of a Kabar/Becker BK2 is what I envisioned when I saw "sharpened pry bar". The Kabar/Becker BK2 is pretty hard to beat, especially for being U.S.A. Made. I would be interested in seeing what Spyderco could come up with. A Spyderco version of a Kabar/TDI Master Key would ...

Re: What is this on the new Spydiechef lock bar?
You don't have to take your knife apart to see the treatment/discoloration. My original plan was to get these lockbars carbidized. On further contemplating this idea, I'm just going to wait & see how well they hold up. If & when that time ever comes, who knows what new techniques we'll have ...

Re: What is this on the new Spydiechef lock bar?
I've been monitoring this thread to see if anybody from Spyderco answers the question about the treatment and or discoloration on their lockbars. I recently purchased 2 McBees & on close inspection, I noticed discoloration of the lockbars. I thought it was strange that the contact area was disco...

Re: Clip replacement question...
Thanks Zatx, Thanks nugi. I emailed MXG before they went away, but I never got an answer. If I can only use two screws, I'll end up using one of their clips that two of you guys have already tried since I know it'll work. I'll have to wait until they come back regardless. In the mean time I'll take ...

Clip replacement question...
Lurker coming out from the shadows to request assistance. I recently purchased 2 McBee's & I'm interested in purchasing 2 MXG deep carry clips for them. I noticed 2 people on the forum that have successfully used the 2 screw version. I would like to use one of the three screw clips. I emailed MX...
