Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread
End Fight in 3 Seconds I REALLY like this video. What he says is very true. There is a world of difference between FIGHTING and SELF-DEFENSE, and a difference between self-defense and self-OFFENSE. I strongly recommend listening to the entire video. The gems of wisdom he imparts in the latter part ...

So about the Kahr Delica type/shape?
If Kahr is done with the model, and by all accounts they are per Mike Janich- what could be made of the modality? Could we get an FFG with the same blade shape in a non Kahr color? They seemed to sell well but Kahr didn’t see the margins as equitable for a gun company. Is there any way to get some a...

Everyone disses VG10 until you need a knife for real stuff. VG 10 still rocks hard

Re: Gotta rethink my hunting/gutting knife…S110V FAIL!
I use spyderco pocket knifes for skinning ,quartering, and breaking down my deer to pack out of the woods. The last 2 I used were the siren in S90, and the Ayoob SE in cruwear. Both knifes were still shaving sharp afterwards. This includes splitting the ribs. https://i.ibb.co/1QRJMyB/20230218-12062...

Re: Ernie Emerson is doing another KNIFE Auction
WOW. Well, if there are people who really want those handmade knives of his, and are willing to pay that amount of $$$ for them, then more power to him. If I were a (good) knife maker, and people were willing to have bidding wars at such high prices for my custom pieces, I’d charge those kinds of p...

Re: Buck 110 question
I had a bunch of 110's and 112's over the years, starting in the 1970's. The design is for the most part outdated these days, more of a brick if you really think about it. I did like the 110 Lite though. The Cold Steel Voyager was a much better design IMO, I am talking about the old ones, excellent...

Re: New UKPK imminent?
I just can't get my head around all these multiple choices of what's really the exact same knife, rather than giving potential / repeat buyers something new - like a Wharncliffe, or whatever new. This seems to be the way of Spyderco recently. The exact same knife repeated with different steels and ...

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread
I have mentioned before having a son who is a high school (year round with club) wrestler and watching them drill certain things like a snap down-go behind and knowing very few wrestlers snap their opponent onto all fours, bothers me when it’s allowed by coaches. Gable Steveson is one of the very f...

Re: Anybody know if there is a Yojimbo 1 re release on the horizon?
I think I paid $85 for my old smurf. If I could buy back some of the spydies I sold off over the years, I think that and my old lil temp s60v leaf would be my first two picks. I found a NOS Lil Temp Leaf S60V and passed it to a forum member here. The pocket clip was just bad. I want a Yo 1 worse th...

I’m sorry but all those flow FMA drills look like the same TMA stuff that goes out the window when it is for real. The prisoner with no weapon just allowing some dude to dive at his groin and slice him up? Try that with knee to the face allowed. Any training that doesn’t include clinch range and li...
