Re: Has any knife made you stop buying knives?

Well the Dragonfly has struck again. Convinced myself I need at least one folder bigger than the D'fly for outdoor activities so sprung for a Salt 2. Got a perfect copy of one but as I compared the two I knew I didn't need the bigger knife and the Dragonfly felt better in hand so returned the Salt 2...

Re: My new Dragonfly salt

Recently picked up an absolutely perfect copy of a serrated Salt 2 in LC200n. Only problem is that I’m already suspecting it won’t see much use due to my Dragonfly obsession.

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.

I read though the whole thread and maybe I missed it, but if I just want to round off the teeth on my Salt 2 is the best way to do it with the brown rods in the 40 degree slots? Also would you just hold the blade straight up and down while making your pass along the stone? Sorry if this has been cov...

Re: Your thoughts on Salt 2 LC200N SE

Sorry it's the Salt 2. Well, it has arrived. It is perfectly centered and not a hint of play in any direction. Very happy! The weight doesn't stand out as overly light to me, but I'm very used to carrying Salt folders without liners. It will be nice to give something outside of serrated H1 a try. So...

That’s the kind of photo that makes people buy a knife they never thought they wanted. 👍🏼

Re: Your thoughts on Salt 2 LC200N SE

Warstein you’re a good dude. Today was supposed to be new knife day for me Amazon dropped the ball. Oh well. Tomorrow hopefully. Fingers crossed that it’s a good copy. If it is I THINK I’ll hold onto it as my trail running/mountain biking/ camping knife. I’ll holler tomorrow. Rolled the dice and ord...

Re: Has any knife made you stop buying knives?

I have this little Dragonfly Salt in serrated edge that does everything I could want a knife to do. It has shown me that I don't need to buy any more knives. But as many of you know.... boredom, overthinking, and justification set in from time to time and I will buy another knife. Totally don't need...

Rolled the dice and ordered one from Amazon. I realize calling a dealer is the safer way but I’m an impatient dude. I’ll post tomorrow evening with impressions. Thanks for all the feedback.

Re: Your thoughts on Salt 2 LC200N SE

That's the truth! I always considered Vivi to be Mr. Pacific Salt and I value his posts and opinions on the knife. He was a main motivation for me to try one in the first place and from my experience he is correct in saying that the originals were more solid. I want to say that it's because the olde...

Re: Your thoughts on Salt 2 LC200N SE

Yea I hate to hear that Vivi. Not sure why the H1 models would be more solid than the LC knives. Maybe you just got unlucky? Pivots back out is a pet peeve of mine and you’d think the Salt knives in general would have overall more consistent quality with there being less parts. No liners, no washers...

Re: Your thoughts on Salt 2 LC200N SE

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. After reading Evil D’s lc200n Caribbean Torture Test thread I know the steel will be good to go for my uses but I don’t love a knife where I can’t tune out the play. I know backlocks can/will develop some vertical play but I always find it funny how some Salt knives...

Your thoughts on Salt 2 LC200N SE

Thinking about picking one of these up but the mentions of off centered blades and play that can’t be tuned out has me hesitating a bit. Maybe most of those reports were on the pac salts but wanted to ask how happy you’ve been with your lc200n Salt 2s. I would be going with serrated edge and while I...

Re: Why is the Dragonly considered to be in the Endura/Delica family?

This is what Sal said in a recent post where someone had asked about the Ladybug's origins.... "We had brought the Endura and Delica into the market. One of the Sakai brothers, I think it was Sumio, asked for a miniature Endura. I said OK so we made a mold for the knife and brought it out into ...

Re: One of Sal's Finest Creations

Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured but it's working fine right now. Next time I take it down I'll try it with one per side. Loving this knife. Question for the Cricket crowd. Is the knife supposed to have double washers on one side of the blade? When I took mine down, there were two washers...
