Hi Kristi, I've seen several posting (this board and the other) where folks say they have the Starling. Is is really out? Also, Equipped to Survive (Doug Ritter) says the Starling will be available with PE and PS. Is that true? Thanks for the info - Best - Joe :) Joe, Yes, it's true, it's out. In f...

First the Police/Military. The short answer, NO, it's not an authorized Spyderco and it was not made by Spyderco. The explanation... over 15 years ago there was a Sales Manager here who hired Steve Rollert to make this knife (without Sal's knowledge or permission). Sal was unaware of it's existence...

I'd be inclined to bet that the CP on the end indicates Clam Pack, as it does with several Spyderco models. Some dealers prefer that packaging to reduce the risk of pilferage when using a self-service display. Assuming that's the case, then the BY03BKPS version is packed in a conventional cardboard...

:( Hey Dannyvi I found this on the Benchmade sight]H1- A high-chromium stainless steel, which offers maximum corrosion resistance in both salt water and fresh water-100-percent corrosion resistant. The tradeoff in performance is good edge quality with good edge toughness, so we use it in wet enviro...

Here's a bit more info... didn't have time earlier... hope this helps... Jason Breeden custom collaboration is a very ergonomic knife with a G-10 handle, steel liners and a VG-10 blade. It is a liner lock and has a large belly for skinning, a re-curve on the inside for cutting things like boxes. It ...

I was just wondering as I think Benchmade is not using the H1 anymore. Is that true? Dannyvi, We tested both X-15TN and H1 prior to releasing the Salt Series knives. H1 was a better match to our standards. H1 is a rust proof steel. Nitrogen displaces carbon in the matrix, so it cannot rust. We've b...
