Re: Powerlock

The extra part changes the direction of force. Yes we tested it and it tested very well. We do have another design planned for the lock. Smaller model. sal In many conversations, smaller model is pretty self-explanatory; however, when the term smaller is used in relation to the Tatanka, it leaves m...

Re: Spyderco knife in movies

Point Of No Return was on and in the part where Harvey Keitel tries to kill Brigette Fonda, he whips out some sort of Spyderco. Sort of Delica sized but seemed to have Krayton inserts. To far before my time here to identify I've seen that movie many times. I'm almost 100% certain that the knife in ...

Re: Fake Spyderco sighting

I saw the movie End of Watch the other week and there is a part in the beginning when the cop talks about his equipment and says he carries a "Spyderco tatical knife", then he shows this knife  http://i60.tinypic.com/tar0hg.png I have an inkling that what happened is that the writer ...

Re: Joyce. Time to start a contest.

I think there is a problem with the time/date stamp Sal joined in 04'? I think that was V bulletin thing, when it was revamped in '04 every forum using it got reset to that start date. It's the same thing on some other forums I'm on. I'm pretty sure D is correct on this. A lot of us old timers have...

Hi Suv, Welcome back. Am I to understand that you got your knife back from customer service and it still won't lock? If that's the case, pleae send it back to us, call it to my attention and we will send you a new knife. Sorry for your frustration. We have found that our lockbacks are quite reliabl...

Carrying the PM2 until 2:30pm today (I get released from work at 2, so it'll be 2:30PM before I can get home and have others available). No plans after that.

Re: What is your little big knife preference?

I think you have LBK's, like the Dodo and Dragonfly for example, and then you have just plain old little knives like the Ladybug. I think once you can get a full grip or close to all 4 fingers on a knife you're in a place that's unfair to also compare a Ladybug to. Another way to look at it is, wou...

Need an opinion

I have never seen or heard a peep about fake Delicas on the market, but the newest one I bought doesn't quite match my older ones, so I wanted to get an opinion from my brothers here. I recently bought a new D4 black handle FFG. I bought this knife from an online retailer that I consider reputable. ...

Re: Members 2014 Top 10 list

Ok. Let's see how things have changed. Here is my 2012 list: 1. Delica III - in VG-10 2. Delica 4 - ZDP-189 model 3. Para-Military (haven't handled a 2 yet so I'm saying the original) 4. Rookie G-10 5. Calypso Jr. Lightweight (grey sprint is the version I have). 6. Jess Horn burgundy FRN and ZDP-189...

Re: New Delica 4 Tight

Thanks guys. I came to the quick realization that I'm just not use to the lockback system. Not sure I'm a fan but I'll get use to it. (Maybe) I went ahead and ordered a Manix 2 XL this morning. Been eyeing up either Manix for awhile now so, since I wasn't super happy with this one off the bat I had...

Re: Caly 3.5 discontinued?

I have this secret hope that the standard VG-10 version of this knife is moving to an FRN handle as some on this forum have requested to make it more affordable. I know that this is a pipe dream, but it's what I'm clinging to.

Re: Byrd Fixed Blade

We do have one maker that is using CTS-BD1. That would be my prefered steel. 9Cr is available, but our experience with the material in a Mule Team showed more warpage than we would like. We can always use 8Cr. Let's discuss more about what the design would be? sal BD1 would be perfect for me. I'd p...

I personally would love to see a byrd rendition of the Bushcraft. If I had my way it would be available both with and without handle scales and would be in 9Cr18.
